My husband likes spicy dishes so he was in Hogs Heaven when we were at the store with all the various kinds of spices. I am getting accustomed to spicy foods so he is breaking me in slowly. As a food and travel writer I have been on all the tours offered over the years. These Hawaii Food Tours totally break the mold, providing the best aspects of guided tours. Firstly, the hosts/owners, Matthew and Keira, are at the top of their game and make everyone feel special. All three of the tours offered are conducted for tiny groups, 10 or less, so you will know what it feels like to have a feeling of family while on their tours. Unlike most of the big tour companies, this mom & pop will go above and beyond to make sure your questions are answered, your (food) wishes get granted, and your tummy is pleasured to the Nth degree. I'd recommend joining the Hole in the Wall Tour, a daytime tour that will show you another side, the *real* side, of Hawaii. Run, don't walk, and do yourself a favor; get on this tour!

This was the most fun, the most delicious, and the most intimate tour we've ever been on. Matthew & Keira are the ultimate hosts; they're fun, funny, warm, and knowledgeable about food, Hawaii, culture and more. Our tour began when they picked us up at our hotel in Waikiki. We climbed aboard the van, along with 8 other guests, and got to know everyone on the tour that day. We had heard about how personal the Hawaii Food Tours are - and everyone was right about that. We were taken to several different local and ethnic restaurants, plus two famous bakeries, and also had an underground peek at the inner workings of Honolulu's Chinatown neighborhood. Everything was explained in detail by Matthew & Keira, which made it a complete experience. We've told everyone about these tours, and will definitely be back for another the next time we're in Honolulu!

We took Matthew & Kiera's Hole in the Wall Tour, on our next to last day in Hawaii. The 5 of us all loved it. Matthew & Kiera know food and Honolulu. Their love of sharing what they know with others comes through loud and clear. They are sincerely friendly, without the hype or pressure you may get from some other tour guides. The tastes were all amazing. The atmosphere was a great plus, and very relaxing. Schedule this early in your visit to Honolulu so you can get the most from the information you learn.

We learned about the Hole in the Wall Tour when the Food Network profiled Hawaii Food Tours. We visited Honolulu, joined the tour and loved every minute of it. We tried about 20 different foods, laughed and learned about the foods of Hawaii. The owners & hosts, Matthew & Keira, were fantastic. They even dropped off a nice bottle of wine the day after our tour at our hotel! Just amazing, generous and smart people with great customer service. Do. This. Tour. Today.

Matthew and Keira are very nice people who could not have been better at showing us the Hawaiian food culture and guiding us through downtown Honolulu. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Honolulu, or even a resident who is not familiar with all of the ethnic food options. We all had a great time, and I would definitely book a tour through them again.

I enjoy trying new/different foods, so I was thrilled to find the "Hole-in-the-Wall" food tour in Oahu. I had really high expectations, and was not disappointed! Matthew and Keira are just the best hosts - I felt like I was visiting family and they were showing me around. They genuinely like what they do - I could tell they enjoy food and entertaining/educating people (they made everyone feel comfortable right away). Now about the awesome tour.... We (there were nine of us) were picked up and taken to cool places that I know I would not have found on my own - I definitely would not have gone into the Ying Leong Look Funn Factory and seen noodles being made by hand! That spot was my favorite - I enjoyed the Chinatown walk the most because we saw and ate so many different things. I think it would be beneficial to make this tour one of the very first things you do, as it will help you to get more fun out of the time you have. Matthew and Keira impart so much information as you travel from place to place - they gave us tips about site-seeing and great places to eat/where NOT to eat, the history of places we visited/drove by, and insight into Hawaiian culture. {The tour wasn't just about food, so even if you are not into cooking/food and your loved one would like you to accompany him/her, I think you will have fun without even trying. :)}

I cannot begin to express how much fun/food we had! It was definitely a one of a kind experience, and I am happy to know that you are able to provide it on a regular basis to our customers! Very unique, filling, and a great concept! Every stop/restaurant had different tastes to offer, and really accentuated the diversity of food here in Hawaii. I love the way you also personalize the tour by allowing "pit stops" and "detours". Being able to take home leftovers was also a great plus (I fed my husband dinner that night!!) - I was too full to eat another bite! Again, your hospitality and graciousness was boundless. We had a wonderful experience and as a concierge, I was able to gain more insight on what our island has to offer to our guests. A big Mahalo goes out to Matthew and Keira for making Hawaii Food Tours one of the best offerings for guests visiting Hawaii!

We loved these tours, all three of the food tours offered were great fun and completely different from one another. Matthew and Keira showed us all over Honolulu, away from the touristy area of Waikiki where we were staying. Their knowledge about Hawaii and the delicious foods offered there was endless. We were thrilled with their ability to make our group of 10 mesh so well together. Without a doubt these tours are the best fun we've ever had while on vacation. And being the food lovers we are, we couldn't have ever found these places on our own. Definitely try the hole in the wall tour as soon as you get to Honolulu because you'll become familiar with so many great places. (Also, be sure to ask Matthew for his list of restaurants...yum!) The prices are extremely affordable and the experience memorable. We'll be back again.
