This nine-hole golf course is a beautiful patch of green, surrounded by mountains. The windy conditions don't stop enthusiastic golfers from teeing it off any day. This course is also known to host championships from time to time and despite its low-key image, it happens to be one of the most sought after clubs. Call for tee times, rates vary daily.

Perfect

At the end of the day you do not find a place that is a more pure muni golf course. The greens roll true, the company is generally solid and you can jump out on the course, play 18, grab a couple post round beers and go home for about $40

the toughest 9 holes in San Francisco
By CharlesG, 05/01/08
A must play course, many improvements by the greens keepers over the last couple of years like clearing trees, and treating the greens have helped bring this course back to it's former glory, tree lined fairways make for accurate driving off the tee, when you get to the greens, thats when your troubles really begin, if your up for it play 18, it's a course that will test your metal. my hats of to all the staff who are both friendly and committed to great golf. thanks you guys

short yardage-plays long

First hole has a funky green, with a top shelf of about 200 square feet. All of the other greens are extremely challenging. Tight driving holes with huge cypress, pine and eucalyptus trees. Course can be scored upon in the winter with lift clean place, receptive greens, and windless days. In the summer you can shoot a million with tough pins and howling winds. Toughest course I can think of for 3-4-5 foot putts, they all break ,and they break hard. Great bar-cool atmosphere-drinks have gone up since new ownership(bad thing for single malt scotch drinkers)but drinks are still a good deal compared to other courses. Friendly staff and a hard working group of Mexicanos working the course. Not a course for the novice ,and fast play is a required thing at this course. I played this course in its first year of construction in 1962 and it still baffles me with the wide assortment of shots you have to hit.

If you can golf(under 10 handicap) then this is a must play. You must play it if you like a classic 19th hole.It is the most private public course I have seen.
