Huaca Pucllana

Description

A meal in the vicinity of a pyramid – its very compound to be exact and can be an amazing experience. Such is the air about the Huaca Restaurant, with its amazing views. The scene is even more haunting at night, when the area is lit-up. This quaint, old-world style restaurant offers exclusively Peruvian cuisine – tamales and such, which are dressed up to entice. Bring the ethereal evening to a divine close with The Napolean, a dessert with chocolate mousse and passion fruit sorbet sandwiched between chocolate cookies.

Ambiance aplenty
By ,
We lived in Peru for two years and went to Huaca a few times while we were there. We LOVED the atmosphere, the friendly waitstaff and, of course, the food! It was always an amazing evening no matter what season. In winter, they had big fire bowls set aflame and at night, the ruins were lit up. Everything about your evening at Huaca is memorable. Don't miss out.

Wonderful place to dine outside.
By ,
Lima has many great Tourist places to dine along the ocean, but at this Tourist location you dine overlooking a moderate size ruins in downtown Lima. The view at night is a unique experience. The food and service varies, but well worth a visit, maybe not the number one place but a must when visiting Lima for the first time.
