Death and its mysteries remain a source of curiosity and fear in even the modern world, and the Centro Cultural Aztlán has taken San Antonio's folklore and superstitions and molded them into an awe-inspiring display spanning over a month in fall. Remembrances of ancestral beliefs, memorabilia and festivities celebrate the days preceding and following the 2nd of November, which is universally accepted as the day of the dead. Harvest rituals, altars and Central Mexican culture displays complete the exhibits. People are encouraged to draw on their artistic skills, family traditions and beliefs to create exhibits and submit them to the center.
