over priced, poor service, justy plain nasty inside, dirty

A summer Sunday afternoon in historic Richmond looking for a quick bite to eat. Quite a few run-down abandoned buildings, many food places closed, no Denny's or IHOP. . .let's see what the River City Diner is about. Walk through the doors and you are taken back to yester-years. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and great food. The menu abounds with variety and breakfast is served all day.

I never really experienced River City prior to the flood other than the occassional trip for their most scrumptious chocolate chip pancakes. But, after their reopening I have become an addict. An addict to their delicious food. An addict to their great service. And am becoming an addict to the ambiance. Now, if you are looking for a true california-healthy-type of restaurant style food, River City Diner is not for you. But if you are looking for a neighborhood diner where they'll know your name and what you like, River City Diner is for you. River City Diner is a true gem; they provide you with the best diner food and diner service in the downtown Richmond area. I love 'em!

The food sucks, but the music and motorcycles are hot. The food, you would get better at McDonald's for less money. The music can NOT be beat and the motorcycles are just plain COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Richmond and i go to to River City Diner all the time! This resturant just has a great feel to it. You know that new jersey diner with a bar! It's great! And the food is classic. Everyone who goes to the Richmond Area should go!

My boyfriend and I ate at this restaurant after visiting the Poe Museum. We had no idea where to go for lunch, and just drove down the street hoping to find somewhere safe. And that's what this place was...safe. Basic American food (burgers, sandwiches, etc.) in a decent restaurant. It's not all that fun or exciting but my tuna melt was okay and my boyfriend who is very picky didn't complain. It was a little overpriced but better than McDonald's that's for sure. If you're a tourist looking for a safe place to take the kids, this is it...but basically, that's about all it is.
