If you are craving a big steak, the Fireside Chophouse has just what the doctor ordered. Try the Porterhouse Steak or the Veal Loin Chop. For something a little less cow, there is a selection of salads and seafood. Make sure to try one of the homemade desserts - if you have the room. Cocktails and wines are available.
I just ate there with my wife tonight (September 17, 2013), and it was awesome. Great service, and the food was so good and filling we couldn t even get desert, although we wanted to but we were really really full. All of our food came out perfect. If in Williamsburg again, I intend to return. Our waitress even knew where to direct us to get camera stuff for our camera, which we needed, and she was right-on with the directions (that s taking care of customers).
Fireside Chop House has to be the worst place I have ever eaten. I was there Saturday June 22, 2013. The manager and the wait staff were rude. My friend wanted to order a pork chop and was told by the waiter you do not come to a steakhouse to order a pork chop. The waiter and manger talked down to the young waitress s and my waiter had other people do the work for him. My friends and I felt very uncomfortable. I can tell they are trying to impress, but just come off rude. Food left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Lousy wait staff at non peak lunch hour. Asked if I wanted baked, fried or mashed potatoe, I chose mashed, was served a baked potatoe. When I said I order the mashed I was then told they were only available at dinner hours. Flounder fillet was full of bones, fried scallops were raw in middle and fried shrimp had a light smell and taste of bleach. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of this establishment.
