Second Street Restaurant, Williamsburg

Every year that we are in the Williamsburg area our son loves to stop here to eat. The prices are worth what you get to eat. The owner as well as the staff are very friendly. They all take the time to stop by your table and talk to the customers on a one to one basis.

Love Love Love this restaurant! If you are one who doesn't like a whole lot of spice though, this might not be for you. All others, get on in line, because you won't be disappointed! Second Street is always on our list when friends come to town.

There used to be one closer in Yorktown ,but that went out of buisness. This second street provides a clam atmosphere with delicious food. It has a birthday club for the kids and even kid events on tuesday ranging from a make your own sundae bar to a balooon animal maker.

food was ok and a bit creative but nothing super special. problem seemed to be under staffed or unorganized, take your pick, either or, the wait was long, they stacked our food up on top of each other so i was still cutting my 6 dollar lettuce wedge that got delivered with my french onion soup, when our entrees showed up. the register staff couldn't have been much better since they double charge me on one item and up charged me for and item that came with a the entree. all and all desert was at least what it should be and could have been even better if we didn't have to wait for the coffee sugar to show up. Go for desert and leave or bring a book to read and order one item at a time to ensure adequate time between courses and don't forget your wallet, you'll need it too!!

Outstanding restaurant. Wait staff was excellent, a Virginia Tech Marketing major, very attentive. Menu was diverse...I had salmon (as good as any Alaskan restaurant I've been in) and my wife had chicken pasta, both excellent. As Washington DC locals we have a good feel for good restaurants and this was as nice as any. Our appetizer was a knockoff from PJ Chang's lettuce wrapp only better, using grilled chicken slices,bib lettuce, crispy seaweed and sliced carrots/cucumbers...highly recommended for only $6. Only downgrade was the lighting was too harsh which effected the overall mode...needs table candles and maybe some soft live music. Highly recommendedover

I have eatten here often. Recent menu changes have not increased the food quality. It once was very good but the new menu is no better than a high school cafeteria. Some of the very good lunch items are no longer available.

Again, the special education department went here to eat on a teacher workday. The food was great, if not a bit pricey. The waitress was attentive, didn't mix up our orders (we had a party of six, I believe) and didn't have a problem splitting the check six ways. I'd visit again, around payday. LOL
