I have been ordering from Sam’s since we moved to the area 14 months ago. I think we order about $250 a month in food from the Courthouse RD location in Spotsylvania. I had an issue with my $60 order from last night and called today to speak to the manager about it. This was the nastiest conversation I have ever had with anyone is authority, and to find out he was the OWNER made me realize I will NEVER ORDER AGAIN from this location.
My family decided to have pasta for dinner so I ordered the Bakes Ziti and there was too much cheese topping and too much meat sauce. This combination made for a very nasty dinner. I think I ate 1/4th of the dish before I gave up and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The kids ordered spaghetti with meatballs and the meatballs tasted like canned processed meats (my husband said almost like spam). Neither of the kids wanted to eat their food either (and for my daughter that is rare). I ended up making the kids sandwiches as well. My mother had the shrimp fettuccini and the sauce was very thin and the shrimp tasted old and rubbery. I don’t know what she ate but I know she didn’t eat the fettuccini.
The manager/owner offered a 10$ discount on a future order. Umm, I am sorry that is not good enough for $60 wasted. I would have been fine if he had even offered a free pizza order in the future, but 10% was not ok. The manager pretty much said if he believed my complain (sorry exact quote is “if you had a better excuse”) he may have thought about giving a refund. I was very taken back by what he said and told him I would never order from his store again and he said “I don’t care, we have plenty of better people than you to order from me.”
