Great neighborhood place. I like the pizza (and I'm from NY), staff is friendly. Maybe not the best pizza in town, but I'm not going to drive into DC for 2 Amy's or Pizza Paradiso for carryout. Fairlington fits the bill close to home.
This place advertises as NY style pizza, but being from the NY metro area, that's not true. The pizza was decent, but not great, and definitely not NY style.
Also, the service was quite rude. The lady at the register was unpleasant, and it just seemed that we were an inconvenience to her. She was somewhat more friendly to patrons that she seemed to know, but that doesn't make me want to go back. There are definitely other, better options out there with better service than Fairlington Pizza.
Thoroughly enjoyed their pizza. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was the best I've had. I also had a mushroom and onion pizza from there, but they used jarred or canned mushrooms, keeping me from giving them 5 stars.
