Here s god suggestion for new food dish for Pines of Florence call it Meat Ravioli with bunch of boloney..Management and employees have serious miscommunicaion problem..They lose important infromation and give excuses especially people who trying help them..This is very confusing ..I strongly believe staff who work there cover up mistakes by lying ..Thank you for making me fool again by your stupid games
I would give this restaurant one star. The food was mediocre and the service substandard. The manager/owner is impolite and very rude. It does not make sense to have an Indian owner operating an Italian restaurant. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food as well as the service.
If I could put zero starts I would do it.
I ordered Cheese Ravioli online for pickup, when I saw what I got I thought it had to be a joke, ONLY 4 (YES FOUR ) RAVIOLI in the whole dish, and that was $ 11.95!
Plus they were nothing special at all
Came upon it by chance. Loved it! Great food! Great prices! Nice place but not too fancy. More of a cafe atmosphere. I did have to flag the server down for a second glass of wine. But, I'm going back again and again!
Came upon this place by accident. We had planned on going to Tiffanys Tavern but they are closed on Sundays.. IT was pouring rain and my boyfriend and I just ran to the closest place to eat that was open and it was Pines of Florence. Dont let the looks of this place fool you. It looks like a hole in the wall place but sometime those are the best.
SOO now to the food. We had the Lobster bisque and chicken and corn soup. The bisque was perfect but the chicken/corn soup had no chicken and was mainly a spicey broth. They give you delicous bread with oil dipping sauce and fill your sodas the second they are empty. The food was also very big with huge portions that you will be taking home with you. The spaghetti Florence was wonderful and had the BEST tomato cream sauce I have ever had.
We will be returning to this place and I love the way that we fell upon it by accident OHHHHH and the prices can't be beat.. We had to apps, sodas and two meals (that some came home with us) for a total of $34.00.. in Old Town that can't be beat
The food was excellent at the Alexandria location. The portions for the price were outstanding - my husband and I both had enough for another smaller meal for the next day. The service was good - a bit of a language barrier. Absolutely, don't waste your money on dessert, they were small and there was no presentation at all. My husband's dessert came in a little paper cup on the plate - very disappointing....
Otherwise you can't go wrong for the taste and the portion of the food.
focusing on the food...you'll find it at 1300 king
not very glitzy, but plenty of tables and adequate service
i was impressed by the good food and large portions
parking is always an issue...but in va/dc where isn't it?
just a few blocks from the king street metro station this is a sure bet for a good meal
(it's been a few years since i've been here...sept 2004)
