Taco Rico, Triangle

Everyone I know LOVES El Taco Rico! They had the BEST Mexican style food we've had since we lived in California. This was a favorite restaurant for many friends and coworkers I know on Quantico MCB and the surrounding area between Triangle, Dumfries and Stafford, Virginia. There is absolutely no other Mexican restaurant in Virginia that even comes close to the quality and taste of El Taco Rico cuisine! NONE! I'll leave off the names of comparative restaurants, but most of them have very greasy food. NOT Taco Rico! They seasoned their food perfectly! They also had the BEST Salsa that I've ever had. I have had salsa that was homemade by Mexican and Hispanic friends that was still not as good and tasty as El Taco Rico's recipe. Sadly, this wonderful and missed restaurant was closed due to a supposed beautification project for Route 1/Jefferson Davis Hwy in Triangle, VA. They closed and tore down every business on that tiny strip of Route 1 and over a year later, it is still totally empty with no new construction. We had hoped that El Taco Rico would be back in a brand new building, but so far there is nothing there. I supposed nothing more has been done in Triangle due to the failing economy. They should not have torn down everything until they knew they were ready to build again. What a waste for Triangle and Quantico and such a tragedy for the small business owners (and employees) on that small section of HWY. FOR THE ORIGINAL OWNERS: Bring El Taco Rico back PLEASE! Even just a temporary location nearby until construction can begin again on that area in Triangle. We MISS YOU El Taco Rico!

taco rico is the best place on earth! the atmosphere is amazing and everybody feels like part of the family. you can get your nachos made just the way you want!

Intimate atmosphere, awesome service, quick service and warm fresh Hispanic food. This place is great. I moved into the area a year ago and just found out about this place. It is a small building on the outside, but nice on the inside. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I am Hispanic and I must say this is authentic food.

This is NOT your normal flunk hole in the wall restaurant! I love this place, the food is just excellent, that's all there is to it. Its quiet, its family oriented, and its very inexpensive for HUGE portions!!!

I think El Taco Rico its a really nice place with really good food. Its small, but a very beautiful place. Once u walk in there is always somebody to greet you with a very big smile on their face. They have really good food to choose from, I think Ive tried them all. I always go dine in with my whole family and sometimes I do carryout. I met the owners and they are very nice people that love what they do and are very friendly. I think its a great place for mexican food. You should go try it.
