Jumbo Jimmy's Crab Shack, Port Deposit

Banging Sunday, Fun Day! Food was great. Get the Ribs or Steak..Ooh Yeah!. Bring It On Jimmy!

Made reservations for the evening for dinner and live performance. They told us that it didn't matter and we had to leave after we were done eating. Also the food sucked!!! Poor service wont be returning again.

The crab dip was a runny mess under a concrete like cheese and the bread bowl was soggy and bland...ugh...worse were the french fries...pretty bad for a restaurant to screw up but they did...again bland, pale and tastless...yuck. Never will go back again.

Overall this place is what you would expect for the local area. I would find another crab place before going here again. First they served me a warm Sam Adams from the bottle. Not sure how that got messed up. Then I asked if we could order half a dozen crabs so we could try them. They told us it was going to be $27 for six crabs so it didn’t make since for us to do that when we could get the all you could eat crabs for $20. So we did that. I think I could only stomach 4 of them and my wife’s cousin only had 3 or 4. The meat, when you could find it in these little guys, didn’t taste right or the texture of the meat wasn’t right. I don’t know. Not sure how to describe it but I’ve been to several crab shacks and I really enjoy my experience but not this time. Also the seasoning they put on the crabs was bland. The wife’s pit beef sandwich was ok nothing to die for.

We ate out back (I don't even know if there is a restaurant inside). It is a bar/pub atmosphere, so you have to sit back grab a cold beer and relax. No hurrying like some other reviews mentioned. And is the wait worth it! We ordered 1 1/2 doz crabs of the LARGE w/appetizers, etc.. The crabs were FANTASTIC. Not only were the crabs HUGE, but heavy and full of mustard! Am I making your mouth water? It should be because mine was and is now just writing about it, I just might go back up there this weekend to get some more. Trust me, its worth the trip!

disapoiting. pay for large crabs get half small buried underbeath. If you point it out they give you more small crabs to make up the difference. Sucks.

Excellent! This was the first time and will definately NOT be the last that I will patronize this establishment. The crabs were heavy, meaty and seasoned rather well. The waitress and the support staff were utmost attentive and we had to remind them of nothing. Now Ray did catch quite a few hairs in the wrist band that he placed upon my wrist, but the food and the service makes up for it.

Good crabs but the service is the worst I've ever seen, getting waited on is impossible! Good luck you will need it.
