I thought I would try Old West today, since I'm pregnant and craving a steak house burger like crazy. My husband looked for the hours of operation on the official website, but failed to find any listing. So I decided I would patiently wait for lunch hours to arrive and attempt to call. Six hours later, I tried to call the restaurant but got no answer. My husband decided to just ride up there and look on their door. Still no posted hours. I can't imagine that a business would simply neglect to tell people when they're open; makes you wonder how they STAY in business. Oh well, decided to grab a burger from Longhorn instead. I won't bother in the future. Why should I when they don't even seem to care? And according to other reviews I've seen here, I'm not the only one who thinks so. They make it way too difficult, and force the customer to seek them out. That's not how you run a company. Failure on all counts.
Old West has food and fun! If you like good, old fashioned, unfancified cooking, you'll enjoy the food which doesn't try to be anything other than what it is. The potato soup is absolutely delicious and their steaks and seafood are great. If that's not enough for you, just ask yourself where else in Salisbury can you dine while listening to a live honkytonk pianist or be visited at your table by an old gun-toting cowboy?
Great steaks, of course; but it is their other selections that set it apart from the franchise steakhouses. The diversity sets it apart, whether you want seafood, crab, or southwestern dining -- they have is. And, it is all great.
