5 people- 3 had all you can eat crab for around $26 each. Small crabs.
The whole crab, not just legs. If you wanted Alaskan crab legs it cost about $3 more, PLUS you had to pay extra for each lb after the first one, I think around $3--4 per lb.
I had chicken teriaki, which was good, but not much to it. I normally can only eat about half my dinner before boxing the rest. I ate all of my dinner, then had dessert, and then ate crackers until everyone else was eating the all you can eat crab.
The soup was good, the fried chicken was -extremely- greasy, the corn was okay for early in the season. Dessert was good!
The next night we went to The Embers and got twice the amount of food for less money. We had the buffet, which had all you can eat crab, prime rib, and just about anything else you could possible want.
The crab legs were MUCH larger then those at Higgins.
In conclusion, I'd have to say don't waste your money.
Great heavy crabs, good steamed shrimp, and delicious fried clams. The corn wasn't very good. We ordered out and they got our order wrong and gave us fried chicken instead fried clams. But once we got that fixed, we had a good meal.
My husband and I had been hankering for steamed crabs all winter when we went to Higgins Crab House. All I can say is that they were well worth the wait! In order to get the larger crabs, we ordered them by the dozen rather than the all-you-can-eat crabs which are typically smaller. One dozen crabs was more than enough to eat for both of us. We even took a couple home with us which was a delicious treat the next day. The crabs were hot, fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pitcher of beer was cold and refreshing. Our waitress was efficient and very pleasant as was the hostess and manager. We can't wait to go back for more steamed crabs.
Authentic Maryland crab just the way it should be. A little pricy on some items, but the seafood is fresh off the Chesapeake Bay and well worth it. All you can eat steamed blue crabs for about $25.00 per person. (We went at lunch, could be higher at dinner, also one of the free Ocean City coupons books in our hotel had coupons for $4.00 off all you can eat crabs, so it was only $21.00 per person for us.) Wait staff could have done better, but could of done worse too I guess. Not the place for romance, but beer and crabs and wasting away an afternoon. Family friendly.
