Cracker Barrel from Hell - Stay Away! I only write negative reviews if I have an extremely bad experience somewhere, I give most places three strikes, but this qualified as being extremely terrible. I usually only eat at Cracker Barrel when I'm traveling because I know what kind of food to expect and most of the time this chain is pretty good. However, the Cracker Barrel in Frederick, MD is an exception to that rule. The entire meal was so bad I wouldn't go back and eat that food if they were giving it away free. Everything looked like food from a frozen TV dinner that was cooked in the microwave and served on a dinner plate. On top of the food being horrible, the service wasn't any better. We sent the entire meal back, didn't ask them to re-cook anything, we just left. I dont think I have ever done that anywhere before. It's one thing to serve one person bad food but considering the fact that we had six people in our party and everyone was served shockingly bad food, there's no making up for that. It was such a disgusting experience I actually lost my appetite. Since my bad experience at this place, I've heard other people say the same thing about this Cracker Barrel location. The reason this place is so bad is because of the type of people who staff it. The staff and management dont care about how the food is cooked, prepared, served, and most of all they dont care if the paying customer is satisfied or not. The unprofessional attitudes and conduct of the people that work in this place is unbelievable. If this is the best that Cracker Barrel cooperate can do in this area, I recommend closing this location because it's giving the chain a bad reputation. If it werent for travelers counting on this location to have the same good quality food as the average Cracker Barrel, this place would have closed up a long time ago. Now that most travelers have mobile devices with online capabilities in their vehicles, maybe this review will spare a few people from wasting their time and money here.
