Hubby and I are regulars. Simply the best in Mount Airy! The restaurant is quaint and cozy. The regular menu is varied, something for everyone. The specials are the most interesting part of the menu. The owner had the best idea to pick whatever is popular in each state and features one state per week for his specials! From soup to nuts, you won't be disappointed. Desserts are made in house. Save room, most different than you will get anywhere else. If you are a chocolate lover, do try the Mississippi Mud pie! YUM. The staff, well, we are biased, but we are treated like royal family. Thank you, Todd and staff for a great meal and great experience. Been customers for 3+ years, never had a bad meal! Home cooking, this is the place
I love the Brick Ridge Restaurant. Not only is the food the best I've ever had, but the service is very professional. The owner visits each table to make sure that your dining experience is everthing you expected. I think the menu selections are great. You can choose from the regular menu or sample something from their weekly State specials. My favorite meal at Brick Ridge is Sunday Brunch. If you love Brunch, you will definitely love Brick Ridge. Order the Beignets, cream of crab soup, or the Charleston Shrimp and Grits....you will LOVE them!
And what a charming and interesting building (once a one-room schoolhouse)! The owner works hard to create an inviting, environmentally friendly atmosphere inside and out. He's got beautiful gardens, and a really cool wind turbine. There is no other restaurant in Mount Airy that compares!
My wife and I have been searching for a nice resturant that we can go to for a night out and this is it. We went last night and had a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. It has a great feel and the staff and owner are great. Our appitizer, salads, and main course were the best we have had in a while. The beverage list included homemade lemonade, flavored ice teas, sangria, and other drinks. It is ideal for a night out with friends or family, not for young children. We will be heading back soon.
Enjoyed a fine dinner here around April 3, 2009. Took my son and daughter-n-law here for his birthday as they have never visted this place since they moved to Mt. Airy some 3+ yrs ago. Wow, they didn't know what they have been missing. The food was fantastic, atmosphere was very good and the beer and wine list was also good. From the calamari and gouda shrimp roll apps, to the triple cheese and mac with ham and the pecan salmon the food was fine tasting. I was a little dissapointed in the fact that they offered a fresh walleye dish only to be told after about 15mins that they didn't have it that night. They could use a little more communication with the servers. Other than that the dinner was very good. Price was a little high but the food made up for that fact. The owner comes around and asks you about your dinner and service, I found that to be a nice touch. He also informed me to call ahead to see if the walleye is on the menu, as it has become a popular item. After he found out about my son's birthday he sent over a dessert for us to celebrate with, another nice touch. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area, I know we will be back the next time we visit.
At last a great resturant in Carroll County! Inovating entrees and friendly service was a welcome change from the normal eateries in Carroll County. This is something you would find in Baltimore now foodies you do not have to drive so far for great eats! I loved the background music!
