Pastimes Cafe & Banquet Facilities, Frederick

Ihave a friend that's used to work there. She said there washing machines would run out of soap then the manager (RAY) would tell them some crap about how it was still ok to run them through and put them back out for people to use. She said the owner is a racist and that he would complain about how the rap music was bringing in to many blacks. He even went as far as to tell the dj to stop playing rap or he could leave. Budwieser is $4.50. When I went in I noticed large amounts of people who where complaining about wait times for drinks then when they got them how weak they where. I noticed there was always a fight when I went in. My boyfriend didn't like us going because some nasty old man would always try to grind me on the dance floor. The food was gross and overpriced. My burger was saturated in grease and the fries tasted liked they sat on the chefs line for about ten extra minutes begot it came out. GO DOWNTOWN!!!

I will never go to this place in Frederick, MD again!!!! Pastimes Cafe owner is a racist! I had a great time in the club until I witnessed how he treats his customers and how he talks to his staff!!!! I unfortunatly witnessed this horriable man tell one of his staff that there were too many black people in the place and how he wants these black people not to be there because we don't spend any money! Well guess what, I am black and I spent a hell of alot of money in the club with my girls!!! I have never been so angry and discriminated against in my life. So if you are BLACK, you are not welcomed in this club!!! They will watch you and talk about you behind your back while you are buying drinks all night and then openly talk about how they do not like black people!!! So if you are not WHITE, don't go to this club!!! Don't put money in the pockets of people who are racist! I hope this place gets shut down!!!

Ahem all the good reviews for this place are written by people who work there or are somehow connected to it. Its not just a regular person saying these nice things. Its dirty, and the drinks are made poorly

I just started going to Pastimes that a friend recommended me to go and I find it the best place in Frederick. There is no cover charge like most places, and the place is very nice inside with a good atmosphere. The music is the best part of my night the dj plays everything from 80's 90's and today's radio hits. They have a large enough dance floor to dance on and the drinks are ok priced since there is no cover. I love it there

Waitress messed up my parties bill and I ended up with $150.00 on my credit card that should not have been. When I called to try to clear it up the manager was rude and irritated at ME. It took much of my time to clear up a mess that was the result of a medium fun night. I will never go there again and dont recomend anyone else to either.

When I feel the urge to go shake it up alittle or alot, There I go! Feeling and looking sexy wanting to dance all night. This spot is good for a middle of the road crowd, depending on the night you wanna go, the music might be different! So go, Have a great time. Maybe I'll see you there!!
