This is the token Chinese place in Brunswick. I've wanted to like it in recent years, but I just can't. Years ago, it was OK. Recently, they discontinued their buffet, and their takeout is just... not good. The shrimp egg rolls: really oily shells, soft and heavy, and no apparent flavor. The pork fried rice has no apparent flavor. The sweet-and-sour chicken, unless you get it with sauce, which I don't, actually has a sort of Krispy-Kreme-like glaze of fat on the outside, even when hot. And again, has no apparent flavor.
Even their packaged condiments are terrible. The soy packets are bitter. The hot mustard isn't. Hot, I mean.
As I said, I want to like it, since it's the only one around, and if they were to close, there'd be nothing. But I just can't.
I would rather eat out of Roy Rodgers dumpster than ever eat here again. I got crispy beef which took 20 minutes and was still undercooked and like rubber. How can food not have any taste at all how is that possible? I know there is not alot of places to eat in the hills, but I will drive 20 miles to get something that I can at least eat. My wifes food was just as bad. It is unfortunate that people just have no sense of quality or care about others. Do yourself a favor and drive by this place and dont look back. What a shame. I would never put my name on that food.
