What a Joke!! Waited a bunch for our wine bottle, Food was bad. I do not mind paying for good food, no better than a truck stop.

Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, excellent service! This has become one of my family's (4 generations) favorite restaurants, well worth the 1-hour scenic drive from our home in PA. We have enjoyed a variety of entrees including veal, crabcakes, fish, German wurst, & more. Crackers & cheese are an appetizing addition to the standard offering of fresh dinner rolls, and the caesar salad is awesome. Full bar, good wine list. Took my 86-year-old grandmother there for the first time in February; she said it was "the best meal I've had in years!" Reservations recommended, especially near holidays. Closed Sunday & Monday.

There is nothing here that you won't like. Great food, fair prices, great service. Very consistent

A Welcome Surprise! Just got back from eating there and wouldn't feel right if I didn't tell someone how great the food there was. I have worked in restaurants before and can be hard to please but Gladchucks impressed me tonight. This is REAL food made by REAL Chefs! The seating was comfortable and the atmosphere cozy, a great place to digest. Priced very reasonably for what you get, expect quality. If your from MD or the Bay area DO NOT leave without trying the cream of crab soup, it's the "real deal". BTW I have been in the area for several years and had always heard good things about Gladchucks but assumed it was expensive and never tried them..I'm so kicking myself in the butt! See you there!

We have eaten at Gladchuk's many times over the years (even hosted company holiday dinners here) and have found that it is a consistently good place for dinner in Frederick. The food is excellent and service is always wonderful. As mentioned in another review, Gladchuk's is frequented by senior citizens and children always seem to receive a lot of attention. The portions are huge and dessert is good... there is little chance that you will leave hungry (unless you choose to do so!). The owner often times visits each table to be sure that your experience has been enjoyable (which I like).

Tasty food, nice atmosphere. I highly recommend the stuffed shrimp. The owners are friendly. It does appeal to the senior citizens, so when we go in with our 2 year old and baby, they just love them.

The food at this family owned gem is out of this world -- only to match the customer service. I have been many times and never been disappointed. Highly recommended! I recommend reservations on a high traffic evening.

Great restaurant with excellent food and reasonable prices. Dine there a few times and it's just like "Cheers",where everybody knows your name. I've never experienced bad service or a bad meal there and frequently recommend Gladchuk's to friends and family.The fresh baked pies are absolutely delicious and made fresh daily on the premises.
