Wow, Some of these reviews are really hard to believe. My husband and I dined at this restaurant on 6/15/13 and the food was INCREDIBLE whether they have new staffing I don t know.... However, the food and our waiter Matthew were excellent. My husband had the ribeye and I had the chicken breast stuffed with spinach, feta and red peppers, absolutely AWESOME. We re from Pennsylvania and I ll gladly come back and bring family and friends. My husband and I try to travel frequently and honestly have NEVER had a decent meal in Maryland so we normally just drive through and eat in a different state LOL... however this time we were in the area looking for vacation rentals and though the area is BEAUTIFUL the food normally sucks, even as we were going into the restaurant we were joking that maybe we should stop elsewhere to eat, I m GLAD we stopped, and we ll definitely be back.... Thanks MATT you were awesome and so is the Pine Lodge Steakhouse.
My wife and I went with another couple in November 2010 and found the food to be EXCELLENT! We ordered several courses (I don't think any of which were steak) and found ALL of them to be extraordinary. The prices were a little higher than I normally like to pay, but we still rave about the food we got, so it was worth it.
The food was very expensive for what you received. The flavor of our fish
was nothing special. The side options were just items you could just as
easily make at home. Service was average. Atmosphere was nice.
We picked this restaurant out of a menu guide of Deep Creek Lake. When we arrive to receive the actual menu many of the advertised items were not on it. I wanted tiger shrimp and my husband wanted prime rib, neither of those were available. I though the steak had an average flavor, I have had better. For a steak house I would expect more. We went on a Friday night and learned if you eat there on Friday, you can eat for free on Saturday. So we did return for lunch on Saturday and received a $55 lunch for free, which was nice. The service was not that great. There were probably 3 tables with 2 servers and our kept forgetting what we asked for :(
Not sure about the experience of the others, but I have gone to this restaurant several times and every time I have been there the wait staff has been extraordinary. I have gone in the summer and that may be the difference. The soup, steak, desserts, everything has always been phenomenal. I recommend to anyone to try it out.
