Pusser's Caribbean Grille - Annapolis, Annapolis

Really great painkiller (rum) drinks and pina coladas at this bar... the crab dip and jerk chicken quesadilla (with pineapple) are my repeat orders. Really good soups, though, too.

Let's be honest, you go here to drink. However, the food is surprisingly good and the Black Bean soup is incredible. Don't expect constant service attention, the place is busy. But the servers do a good job considering how busy they are.

I went there on a date with my very intelligent, tight bod & soon 2 be suga daddy. He ordered for me three meals for me to try, I never saw the menu so I didn't know the prices but I'm sure their were high, but worth it. The food was so great the my eyes watered with every bite. I'm sure thats because I never had extremely fresh seafood before. Red lobster & places like that don't count, so Pusser's was the best I've ever had so far in my life. Because of my dates status with the hotel/restutant we recived VIP service such has valet parking where his luxury truck was parked right at the front door, everyone being really nice & I didn't feel wierd by being the only black women in the resturant. Overall I can't wait to go back there & go on a date with someone I really care about. Since I didn't get a chance to see the menu for my funds I'm sure this will be a special occasion spot for me because it taste expensive.

We started going to Pusser's during the Annapolis Sailboat show and we stop there every time we're in Annapolis now. Their cream of crab soup is a favorite and we've used it as an excuse to make the 2 1/2 hour drive to Annapolis more than once. Make sure to sit by the water and watch the boats coming into Ego Alley.

My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Marriot in Annapolis. We didn't know where to eat breakfast/brunch and didn't want to venture out too far, so we went to Pusser's Landing. We didn't do the buffet, we ordered from the menu and the food was fabulous. Our service was terrific. We sat with a view of the waterfront. It was beautiful. When my parents came to visit we took them there for brunch (summer) and sat on the dock/patio. My parents have asked to go back when they visit again. Definitely a place to keep in the rotation, even if only for brunch.

Everything was wonderful. Great selection and service. Grog was different but ok. I prefer the painkiller. Crab dip was our favorite app. Meals were a 10. Desserts were awesome.

At a recent trip to Pussers my party and I were mistreated because we did not "own a boat" and were "crossing" a bouncer's arbitrary line. This bouncer approached us and was rude from the start. We obeyed his "line" however joked about how we were not allowed to cross it several times. When someone crossed the line, we said "uh oh, better not".... We were rudely asked to leave and told that only boat owners could cross that arbitrarily chosen line (which was not being enforced until after we arrived). The shift manager's name was Dan Monk and he was of no help in resolving the situation. If you decide to go to pussers, I would hope you own a boat, or have bags of money; otherwise, you will probably be treated like scum. FYI: We are a group of 20-30 something professionals in the DC area; not exactly what I would call trouble-makers.

Food was good. We arrived and were told it would be a 15 minute wait. After 15 minutes I saw a waitress go up to the young hostess and say "A couple walked in and took a table, is that ok?" The hostess said "yes." About 45 minutes later my husband went to the hostess desk and asked about our table. We were told "we had been seated a half hour ago." Wrong! That couple that walked in and took a table without waiting had taken our table and they marked us off. I was furious. We finally were seated and had the same waitress who had seated the other people. Not a great experience. Be careful there.

My first experience at Pussers was several years ago at a friends wedding. Since then, I have been dying to return. Now, I make it a habit to dine at Pussers at least once a month. The food is superb. The ambiance is unforgettable. The staff is attentive yet unobtrusive. It is a truly memorable experience. Pussers Caribbean Grille is a perfect dining spot for the whole family. It also boasts a gift store with a host of products, from the famous Pussers Painkiller mix to Caribbean style clothing. This restaurant has it all!

Pusser's is a great place to have lunch if you're walking around the city dock area. Everything is reasonably priced. Try the grog... it's unusual, but worth a try. I love their oysters on the half shell. They're always fresh and they have a great sauce.
