Ding How Restaurant

Description

This fine Fells Point restaurant serves an eclectic mix of Hunan and Szechuan cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, particularly shrimp, crab and lobster. The dishes at Ding How are imaginatively prepared and flavorful, and there's a general air of sophistication about the place. The dim, almost moody, lighting, combined with the sleek contemporary decor, make the restaurant seem like a movie set. The bar is well stocked and tended, and offers a great variety of Chinese and domestic beers.

I have been a customer of the Din How restaurant with my wife for many years, and have always been pleased with the service and the quality of the food.I have eaten in many Chinese restaurant in Baltimore and the dong how is by far the best. The dish I love best is called either uncles chicken or beef; It is excellent and one of a kind. My wife in turn loves the soft shell crabs with vegetables. The soups are outstanding. I all so find the prices to more reasonable then other restaurants of the same quality, We give them five stars.

This is the worst chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is bland. I've gotten sick from eating the egg foo young.

Yummy fried rice, yummy beef broccoli. Great and on time delivery service. We usually order for a lot of people, delivered. We've not been disappointed. Keep up the good work!

One of the best places I have ever eaten. I am formerly from Baltimore and moved to Tennessee about 3 years ago but I can't wait to go back to Ding How. My wife and I used to go about 2 times a month, we still talk about it and have decided to move back to Maryland...we are not sure if our decision is based on missing friends or Ding How...The food is that good! Also very enjoyable was the atmosphere and the nice gentle music playing in the back ground. I only have 2 complaints, the dress code is a little too lenient and you better watch out if you allow them to pack your leftovers cause they come back very lite. So your better off to ask for a to go box and do it yourself. They are very reasonably priced for their location..as you would expect them to be much more pricey for where they are at. Everything I have ever tried from there is very good. I am hungry just thinking about them. As soon as I sell my TN home Ding How is the one place I can't wait to eat at.

Best Chinese food in Baltimore!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/07
My co-workers and I have been going to Ding How for lunch at least once a week for years. The staff is great; the food is even better. They get you in and out during the lunch rush. Reasonably priced good food is hard to find. Ding How is great!

Wonderful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/07
Restaurant service is always prompt and very friendly, the atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and the prices are fairly inexpensive. Definitely recommend it to others! The combination lo mein and the pork dumplings are the best!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/07
My husband and I have been going here for about three years. My husband eats lunch at Ding How every week and loves it. The food is so delicious, and the resturaunt itself is very clean and well mantianed and the service is unbeatable, the staff is always pleasant and friendly. We love chinese food and have been to several places, but by far this is the best place we've been to. Try it, you wont's be dissapointed!

one of the best!
By Cat, 9/21/06
We have been dining at Ding How for years, and are constantly amazed at how pleasant it is. The food is wonderful, the ambiance is quite nice - it's very quiet, with cloth tablecloths instead of the paper placemats you get at most Chinese restaurants, the service is always friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. It's hard to believe you are in the middle of the hustle-and-bustle of the Fells Point when you are in such a quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

weekday lunch deal is great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/4/06
Good Food, quick service, good prices. The M-F lunch deals are amazing. Best (weekday)lunch deal at any decent restaurant in Fells Point. Be careful; they never seem to have enough duck sauce serving bowls so as soon as you spoon a little duck sauce out onto your plate they swoop in and take away your duck sauce. A funny little quirk that hasn't changed in years....
