McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Baltimore, Baltimore

My wife and I had Valentines Day reservations for 4:30pm. I wanted to get there before the rush. When I made the reservation, I had asked if they could do something nice for my wife because it was our 37th wedding aniversary. They said that they sell an arraingment of roses that could be brought to the table. I said I had already gotten her flowers and they said they could bring a dessert. We shared a chocolate fudge brownie that was out of this world. I didn t think we could eat it after the most superb meal. The calamari appetizer was excellent. We would certainly go back again.

THE WAITRESS DIDNT GIVE US THE RIGHT FOOD. SHE WAS VERY NASTY AND RUDE. I DONT BELIEVE IN TIPPING WHEN I RECIEVE BAD SERVICE. I ASKED HER IF THE FOOD WAS SPICY SHE SAID NOT REALLY. THE WAS SO SPICY I COULDNT ENJOY IT ALL. THE HOST ALONG WITH OTHER WAITRESSES WERE DOING HER JOB.

I had always wanted to go here but when I got there I was very let down. Plus we had to pay $20 to park at the Pier V parking because there was a concert at Pier 6. The place look nice for the most part- however, I was very put off because there wine glasses were VERY spotted! When you are against the water background the spots stick out like sore thumb. It then took forever for our salad and soup to arrive. I had the seafood and corn chowder which was good but the Hubby had the Caesar salad which had no flavor what so ever. For dinner I had the Bay Scallops with garlic butter and some sort of bread crumbs. They were the smallest bay scallops I had ever seen. They were cooked well but after a few bites the flavor was gone. It reminded me of a soup- the butter and bread crumb mixture with the scallops. Would have been much better it thickened around the scallops. It was served with a rice pilaf and asparagus which were both good. Hubby had one of the steaks which he said was nothing special and had no seasoning on it at all. For dessert we had the trio. Dessert was the best part of the meal (besides the view). It had 3 mini things- a bread pudding, crème brulee and a banana pudding. So the best part of the night was dessert and the view. The décor is nice but besides those 3 things nothing else was any good. We both said we wont be going back again!!

The service at McCormick & Schmicks used to be among the best, but lately it has gotten exceptionally poor. I am not sure if they are under new management, but things are really slipping there. The last time my husband and I went was in mid June, and we had to wait over 2 hours (after we were seated!) to get our food. We would have left, but my husband insisted we stay since my parents were with us. The really bad thing was the management acted like this was perfectly acceptable. Their main office is not much better. I wrote a complaint to them and they did not even have the courtesy to return a response (It has been over a month since I have written.)

Excellent food and service. You have to try the Atlantic Salmon stuffed with Blue Crab, Shrimps and Brie Cheese. The Rasberry Sorbet is an excellent choice in desserts among others such as the hot apple pie, etc. Great location and view while dining.

it was the best place me and my girlfriend ever went to....great place to eat

$9 for 4 regular size fried shrimps (covered in buffalo sauce)! $22 for a 4-inch slab of bland mahi mahi with a scoop of rice! can you say OVERPRICED?!?!?!

my husband and i were both mislead from the menu about the ingredients in the entrees. My $16.00 salad had canned! Baby shrimp,almost raw scallops, fake bacon that almost cracked my bridge work, diced up eggs and tomatoes whiched was never stated on the menu as having. The lettuce was also shredded like they picked it out of the trash. The lump crab meat also tasted canned. My little neck clams i ordered was supposed to cooked in garlic and butter not garlic and lemon juice. The steamed mussels my husband ordered, came out with tomatoes and galic all over them, not plain like he ordered. She was just going to accept the fact that he wasnt going to eat the appitizer, and just let it sit thier, until i feaked out and said it wasnt acceptable. She also charged me for the salad i could eat.

It was my first trip to Baltimore to meet the love of my life! This was our first place to share a meal and it was wonderful. For he didn't know that it was one of my favorite place in Indianapolis to eat, but Phil knew more about me then I knew The location couldn't have been more perfect...off the water. The hostess must of seen the love in our eyes, she sat us in the most perfect spot in the restaurant to share our first romantic evening together. It was just that! Thank you!! Love At First Site!
