This honestly is the most god-awful place in Baltimore! I went recently (on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday) and I saw more security guards than actual patrons. It was a sad sight on a Saturday night.
Power Plant is the type of place where angry, meat-head bouncers can't go a night without kicking-out an innocent guy just for the thrill of it. Oh - and it takes 10 of them to do it. Everyone actually wants you to have a terrible time.
I ended up having to pay a cover, only to get in and listen to obnoxious music and drink disgustingly watered-down drinks.
Had it not been my friend's birthday, I would have left in a second. Needless to say, I won't be going back. From now on, I'll stick to Fells Point - where the bars have character, the doormen actually invite me in with a smile, and the bartenders can remember what I'm drinking.
Oh my goodness, I went here with my girlfriend on a Saturday night and I had a ball. You can pay $10 and get into every bar/club on the strip, we kept going from place to place all night. The crowd is great, the music is off the hook and the bartenders will take good care of you. Go!
