The food has been good on most occasions but their service is poor and/or flat out bad. If you have time to make it to the location you may find better service but if you are after something quality for delivery, look elsewhere. XS has waffled on their delivery and service on the many times we have given them a shot. Again, if you visit their restaurant, you may have a better experience... Rated two stars because their food has been decent.

In ShortLocated in a three-story brownstone with cathedral ceilings, large storefront windows, exposed brick and ductwork, This ultra hip urbanite place really knows how to cater to a number of palates. In fact their variety of food includes breakfast until 2am, sushi, desserts, paninis, wraps, sandwiches, omelets, sashimi and tempura. This place kinda morphs from a little cafe type place during the day and lunch hours to shiiiiik little hang out spots for the sexy sushi loving people. In fact a DJ on weekends spins deep and sexy music on the upper loft level, where you can also enjoy great people watching. Drinks and sushi are always deliciously and delicately made. The alcoholic drinks are a tad over priced for the location and ambiance but I must say they will knock you out if that is what you aspire. The clientele is young and primarily locals. Most people walk it from their nearby crib. Some (like I) either get the luck of the Irish and find street parking or like everyone else should head to the nearby garage on Cathedral Street then walk the block. Ps: They also offer free valet parking on certain nights (check the website) Definitively a fun hangout place to go with your enterauge before hitting the local club scene. This will put ya in the mood to relax, be sexy and dance a few moves. My overall rating 7.0

Love the sushi and delicious desserts here! Not so much the paninis and stuff. We frequent XS for lunch, dinner and take out/delivery. Service is average. Nice trendy and casual place. Great for a fun upbeat type date, or fun night out with friends.

The shrimp dumplings, shrimp fried rice, berry salad, and turkey wraps are great.

The services at this establishment is terrible. The people are very rude and rarely get the order correct. The wait time to get food once ordered is ridiculously long. The managers try to be nice, but do not respond quickly when customers are dissatisfied. Besides this the food esp. the sushi is very good. If you can stomach terrible service and rude people come here.

THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. WE GET A VARIETY OF SUSHI TO SHARE AND IT IS INCREDIBLE. THE COCKTAIL ARE FUN AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT. IT IS JUST A FUN PLACE TO EAT AND SOCIALIZE. MY BEST FRIENDS BOYFRIEND DJ'S THERE THAT HOW WE FOUND IT. NOW WE GO BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN EVEN WHEN HE ISNT WORKING.

I live around the corner and hit up XS about once or twice a month. The sushi is very good. You've likely had better elsewhere, but it's at least a notch or two above average. The quality is always excellent, but sometimes the rolls are just a bit on the thin side. Several months ago, the service was just plain awful, but that has definately improved in recent months. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but they're not that bad.

XS is a great place to go for some GOOD sushi! I first became aquainted with this spot last summer and quickly fell in love. The atmosphere is great and the crowd is diverse. The wait staff is nice and you don't have to wait very long for your order. I really love this place!

XS is a lovely restaurant--the interior is fabulous. And the food is pretty good. Where else can you get breakfast and sushi? Unfortunately, that's just about all I have to say about it that's nice. The service is very slow (like 45 minutes to have a waitress come help you once you're seated), though the staff is friendly. And they need to mop more regularly--the floor was sticky the last two times I went in there. And most of the sushi served is cooked... Overall, its a mediocre dining experience. There's better spots to spend an evening in Mount Vernon.
