I want to like this place because the food is very good. Unfortunately, there's a problem somewhere in the kitchen that prohibits all meals from being delivered to the table at the same time or being delivered way too late. After discovering the restaurant last summer (2005), I've been there 6-8 times over the past year for dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening. I even spaced my last visit (Sept 2006) in case the earlier problems were temporary. Sadly, I must say that every visit was ruined with unnacceptable delays either between courses or between entrees of people at the same table!
I've made my comments to the owners but nothing changes. So, unless you are willing to put up with highly erratic kitchen service, I suggest you go elsewhere.
My husband and I love this restaurant! We have been going there since 2007 and really enjoy there delicious meals. We eat there 3 times a month, especially Sunday's...They welcome you with warmth, and also have great staff... I also enjoy their dessert curio filled with my favorite chocolate mousse cake and raspberry swirl cheese cake!! Bysides all a great place to dine for any occasion, from ending a walk on the broadwalk in casual clothes to a anniversary dinner with your loved one.
You will enjoy!
This is the best restraunt in the Aberdeen/ Havre de Grace area. There are others that are more expensive and have interesting menues, but La Cucina is less expensive and the food is fantastic. The wait staff is friendly. It has never been a disappointment. Try the Pizza!!
Family owned italian resturant with incredibly delicious food. Offer everything from pizza to linguini with clam sauce. Cozy little resturant tucked away in downtown Havre de Grace among antique shops and corner stores offers guests the feeling of small town living at it's best.
I have been going here for years, even before it was named la cucina. the food has always been the best i've ever had. the pasta and seafood meals are not only delicous but are LARGE portions. you definately get your moneys worth. not only that but they are more than happy to make food to your specification and still serve it quickly and without hassle. i live 45 min away and still make the drive bi weekly to go there and eat. it's well worth going out of your way to try the food. even my husband who doesn't like italian agrees the food is great and is willing to go back.
