Sorry, but this review is not any better then the ones I just viewed.
My wife and I received cold food last night so we returned it, and it took forever for them to bring us hot food. Even then, I think they just ordered a new dish from the kitchen instead of telling them the baked potatoes couldn't even melt butter. And everything just had that grunge feel to it, like a sticky table and seat...
It’s sad that they can’t get it together.
Food was good, when it came. We had a group of 15 or so that we had reserved days in advance. Took an hour for the first of the food to arrive. Food came for 3-5 people at a time, they totally forgot the last 2. People were done eating by the time the last 2 meals came. They wrote off our drinks and I think the last 2 meals. Still it took us almost 2 hours for lunch on our work lunch hour. The BBQ pork was very good, large bun, smallish amount of meat. Huge amount of fries which were fairly tastless.
Went there last weekend, and wasn't anything like I expected. My wife's ribs were burnt so bad that there wasn't any meat on the bone. Our potatoes were cold. And we barely saw our waitress. And all of those tv's, but the only showed the same game on every channel. Never plan on going to Damon's again.
Its' basically ok. The menu does not change that much. The music at the bar needs to be toned down a bit. Happy hour is split from 4-6 and then I believe after 9:00. Should be from 5-7, as that's when most people are there. Basically over-all, it's not a fantastic restaurant-just some place to come and relax. As far as a sports' bar-not that great.Just a fancy local-medium class local bar.
I ate at Damon's, had great service and great food, but realized the next day I left my debit card at the restaurant. When I called to verify, the manager on shift told me he did not know where it might be, that I would have to wait till that evening for the night manager. When I asked that he call the night manager to ask him where the found items might be, he argued with me that he was too busy and hung up on me. Damon's just lost a faithful customer.
We've never wanted to wait to sit in the clubhouse, but the dining room area is just fine. The food is usually good, it depends on the dish, and who's working that day. Same with the service. The last time there I ordered the steamboat and it was wonderful! Be sure to ask for salad dressing on the side since they aren't all as tasty as they could be. In general, a nice place to eat though.
The large screen TVs with individual table speakers are the best feature to this sports bar/restaurant. The food (particularly the prime rib) could improve. I've ordered this meal several times at this Damon's and at the Damon's in Crofton and Crofton seems to get the better cuts of meat. Why is that? Also, the management let the kitchen run out of baked potatoes on a Sunday evening. No excuse for that. Could have even gone to Safeway as a last resort. Sheesh!
Damon's is a typical Sports Bar. Plenty of space and and booths for groups to sit down and watch your favorite sporting event. The food is pretty good and the service is great.
