House of India serves very good Indian food in generous quantities. Although the complimentary appetizers were uninteresting, I truly enjoyed the chicken saag, naan, and raita which was extra. Comfortable and casual, yet with a formal appearance (linen tablecloth), the service was good too. I would go back.
This is one of the best indian places I've ever been to. The next best was actually in the Netherlands. The staff is professional and friendly, and the food is superb, and at very reasonable prices. It's funny how some folks write reviews of how horrible it is, but my friends and fmaily, that I've taken to House of India, all come back and tell their firends about it. The Masala is delicious, with lamb chops andthe chicken tikka masala being my favorites. So good, Im on my way tonight for carry out, and I live 35 minutes away!
Tasty Indian food. There are multiple meat dishes, including juicy Tandoori Chicken. They bring by a basket of fresh baked Naan, Indian flat-bread, from the kitchen to your table. Vegetable dishes are fantastic. Their salad offering could be better -- it's a mix of lettuce and cucumbers, with yogurt dressing offered. For dessert, there was rice pudding, which was decent.
Great food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Lunch buffets are my favorite. Buffet allows sampling of all different types of indian food for people who are new to indiian kitchen. I highly recommend!
Poor Service the Manager dose not know how to talk to customer. Actually there were two managers and only one of the guy seems to be behave idiotic. Even tho the food is good you dont need to get spoil your evening by the improper behaviour of the manager.
Poor Service... the Manager is RUDE & IMMATURE
The food was ok, but the manager was so rude. His immature way of handling the customer spoiled the whole evening. I used to recommend this place to my friends before but after going through what I had I DARE NOT recommend or even consider going there back again.
House of India is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. It beats its neighbor Akbar by a long shot. If it wasn't for the fact the restaurant is small with close together tables and small booths it would be perfect.
My wife and I go here about once a month. We use to go to Akbar until House of India opened and then we started going about once a year to use our Entertainment coupons and now that Akbar is no longer in the Entertainment book we don't need to go back there.
The service here is great, although when they fill up it can take a while to see your waiter, but usually they are constantly coming around.
Other then an occasional burnt Nan and a little overdone tandorri meals I have never had a bad meal here. The Chicken Tikka Masala is one of the best in the area. My wife loves the Chicken Sag and the Crab Malabar.
If you like Indian food you can't go wrong here.
