Sushi Sono, Columbia

I love sushi in this restaurant my kids enjoy all the foods.. I recommend this to my friends.. Nice job guys!

this place was soooo...good,the service was nice the apmostsphere was very smooth and relaxing(like you in a spa).i lwill have to say that the prices are high but i think people only go there to get sushi!! my mom love it to we will be goingback there soon!!!!

I have always enjoyed eating at the restaurant - in fact, we held our son's graduation dinner there and spent a small fortune. However, it is obvious that the restaurant does not treat all customers equally. Reservations were made for 2 for my son and his friend to have dinner. It was a birthday celebration. When they arrived at the restaurant, they were told they could only be seated at the sushi bar and that no table was available to them. It is clear to me that the hostess did not want to waste a table on two 18 year old. I am sure two adults would not had been treated this way. When I called and questioned the hostess, the response I got was patronizing and unapologetic. Needless to say, my son and his friend did not have dinner at Sushi Sono, and the restaurant has now lost a very good customer.

This place is great. Everything we tried was well prepared. The best was the Hurricane Eye Roll. This is one of the best rolls I've had anywhere.

Their sushi is always excellent and the staff is friendly. By far one of the best restaurants in Columbia.

It used to be better. Food quality is still reasonable good, but they are too successful to care about you. The food is excellent, among the best Sushi and Sashimi you will find. The service has gradually declined over the past several years, and the overall attitude of the establishment requires that you simply put on a coat of armor and ignor the cold and uncaring attitude you will encounter. Policies have changed with success. It is not possible to make reservations unless you have a large party or it is a special day of the year. You can take guesses about how many comprise a large enough party or which days you may be allowed to make reservations. Rules change to fit the patterns of the weather. When the place first opened it was gracious, welcoming, and friendly beyond compare. Now, well. After entertainiing large parties there many times, and racking up huge bills, repeatedly as a business customer, I was amazed to find that I couldnt make a reservation. When you know you cant get out of a place for less than $150, you figure some allowances need to be made, but no. Success has overtaken the past cordiality, and maximizing the rings at the cash register is all that counts. I am looking for other places to eat...and I recommend you do the same...unless you just love good Sushi and dont care about being treated like a grazing animal with a credit card.

Sushi Sono is one of Maryland's best for sushi. Great service and great food. Probably a bit overwhelming for newbie sushi eaters but the staff will help you out a bit. The hidden jewel is the bridal roll. Not on the sushi selection sheet but you can write it in and they will get it for you.

The sushi is great, especially the Bridalveil Roll. I love the ambiance and the setting next to the lake. There is often a line and they don't take reservations for two.

I go there with my family at least once every week. We love and know Japanese food and we think Sushi SOno is one of the best.
