Absolutely worst Chinese food/service I have ever had. As soon as I walked in they attacked us to order and did not give me a chance to look at the menu. The prices are outrageous for chinese food! And charge you more to make minor substitutions. It took much longer to prepare than it should have for being the only people in there. Because the meals were so pricey I decided to do a la carte which ended up being LESS food for MORE money. There was a sign I did not see that would have equaled more food for less money as a special but it was not suggested!
I tried to pay with mastercard and they did not accept it. Another aggrivation!
The food was terrible. The chicken was fatty and mostly filler. Most of it was hard and could not even be chewed. The sauce had no flavor. The fried rice had no flavor. Absolutely disgusting.
I will never be back. Extremely disappointed.
I personally like King's chinese. I do have to say that the Golden Szechuan Inn in Bel Air is #1. I use to drive from Baltimore to get their food. But it's a little bit pricey so when money is tight, and I want good chinese I call on Kings. Their prices are good and serve large portions.
The food is the best in abingdon/belair area. Not the best in Harford county however. There was one time that I went and the lo mein was overcooked, my kids ate it but I didnt. I love the egg rolls, the shrimp fried rice, wonton soup etc... I am sure there are a few meal items but I cant spell it lol. Anyway I would recommend this place to anyone in harford county looking for chinese food.
In a word, mediocre. I got the chicken low mein and the sauce was a bit tasty and the chicken plentiful. However, the chicken was dark meat and very fatty and over cooked. Overall, I disliked it and over half of it ended up as leftover in my fridge. I won't go back again.
The King is dead!!
King's had been our favorite local place, but the food has become pretty bad over the last couple of years. While they are big on portions, they are short on quality. My last meal, the chicken was very fatty, the sauce had no flavor, and the spring rolls were too greasy.
Sorry Kings, you're just no the best in town anymore.
I was spoiled growing up in Towson and working near a number of great Chinese places. Up here in Abingdon, I didn't find a good place till Kings. I tried more, but none were as good. One warning! The young American girl on the weekends write the number for Kung Pao Shrimp like the number for Chicken! Lol an understandable mistake. I am still looking for a hot and sour soup the equal of Golden Gate Noodle Houses though. ( that place closed recently and was the best in Towson).
Usually...there is someone in here that speaks really good understandable English. The food selection is one of the widest found in this area, the food is usually hot so caution! The EGGROLLS are absolutely the best that you can get around here. Great fodd quality, fair service, great prices (my fave the 4 piece chicken for $2.49 is a steal), and the fact that they stay open pretty late. I cant really remeber but I use to work at Gabriel Brothers and we'd get off around 10:00 and somehow they'd still be open!
Fantastic prices and exceptional quality food make a trip past other closer chinese carryouts well worth it for me. I'm happy to go out of my way to pop by King's and the 2 for 12 dinner deals come packed with food.
I've always recommended this place to people in the area and will continue to do so!
