AWFUL / BAD / STALE These are some gentle words to describe the kind of food we got at Metro Dhabha..I mean seriously, this place is heights of bad Indian food..home made Indian food tastes better than what they offer. I have had their samosas and i think thats the only thing edible there...I am not sure about the italian food they serve ( I dont think i would ever want to try ).. I was so turned off...I had really high hopes from this place.
Bottom Line - WORST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD...go there at your own risk
I've been going to Metro Dhaba for the past few years, Its perfect, I have indian food for my wife and I and pizza for the kids. Could I ask for anything else? I read some of the reviews posted here. There seems to be frustration from Il forno's old customers regarding the addition of indian food. I personally think its great and a good compromise for my family. It's truly a shame to see the change not being accepted by some. I think if you like indian and you need to keep your young ones happy this restaurant is a great place to try out. The owners are very kind and are willing to do what it takes to provide you with the best service they can. Its a very family oriented atmosphere. I suggest going in early in the week because they're very busy on the weekends. Their carryout is always busy! Be prepared to wait 10 minutes if you need food to go!
The atmosphere is about average, but I am there to enjoy the food, the television proved to be great entertainment for my kids. I was able to request the channel to be changed to something suitable for their viewing. Definately worth a try! You will like the indian food! Their chicken dishes are excellent. The samosas are great!
We went with friends and kids on a Thursday night and had a very enjoyable time. The manager?owner? could not have been more welcoming, the pizza was perfect, and we really enjoyed trying some indian food as well. We had vegetarian samosas, yellow lentil curry, and chicken saag - and Naan, of course! We all really liked the samosas and curry (even my friend who was dead set against anything Indian).
We will definitely go again!
I remember as a kid going to ll forno to getting the greatest pizza I have ever had.Now everything has gone down hill. Mixing to completely different cultures is not the best idea in the world. The thought of mixing pizza with your samosa hmm not a good idea unless your look to clean out your stomach. I never went back sence.
