Tandoori Nights, Gaithersburg

Poor customer service. No attention is being paid on decor. Food is ok. I am coming to this place from the last 5 years but was very disappointed with my last visit. Need lots of improvement as this place is going down

Excellent chicken tikka masala, and vindaloo. The biryani rice is outstanding and loaded with veggies. I also appreciated the generous mint sauce and yogurt dipping sauce. We'll definitely go back.

Everything about Tandoori Nights is Outstanding!: Food - excellent (best Indian food I've ever had and I eat a lot of Indian food!) Service - You'll feel like royalty the way they treat you (but they don't pester you) Value- very reasonably priced even with appetizer, drinks, dessert. Ambiance - the decor is so authentic. It's a very nice restaurant. You feel like you're in India when you eat there. What I don't like - they close from about 2-5pm everyday and sometimes we take late lunch at work or want to get early carry out... but I'll wait for their food. It's awesome! My update: if you are vegetarian, you will love Tandoori Nights. We've been eating there for about 5 years and it's still great! Make sure you get the veg samosas as an appetizer. Also, the dal mahkani is really great. Very rich, creamy and fresh. The chick pea, palak paneer, and cauliflower dishes are great.Honestly, everything I've had at T.N. is great. It's fun to sit outside when the weather is nice.

We came out to Tandoori nights on Friday night to celebrate my birthday as we had heard rave reviews of the place from friends. Our experience was very disappointing to say the least. Seating was quick but the menu was delivered to us after 30minutes and even that after we asked a waiter for the same.Another 30 minutes for the waiter to stop by and take orders and he was very impatient for us to give our orders. The appetizers were delivered after 20minutes but were wrong and we could not get anyone's attention to report the same.We were too hungry to wait any longer and ate the appetizers.Our dinner order came in about 30 minutes later and the main dish 'veg biryani' was cold. We asked for some ;green chutney' but this was never brought to us until half an hour later when we got someone's attention. All in all a very unpleasant experience and disappointing.

Totally loving this place over the years.The food is awesome it always taste fresh and tasty.Service is top of the line waiters and servers seem to be very knowledgeable and know what are they talking about.Appetizers are highly recommended like veg samosas,caat papdi,aloo tikka to name a few.The chicken makahani(butter chicken) is the best in town.Other items like okra dow paysya(okra made with onion and fine spices) is great so are the other dishes like lamb buna,vindaloo lamb and variety of breads make a trip worth it.In my view time and money well spent go ahead and have fun.

Ok. I have eaten here, atleast a couple of times. And all i can really rave about is, the Dal Makhani. Awesome is a word that can describe it. The restaurant otherwise offers a good selection of indian food. Nice ambiance.

When I pay to be waited on and served a meal (or drink or appetizer, whatever), a huge factor in my satisfaction is how the surroundings create the right mood. Tandoori Nights totally meets these expectations: awesome murals and decor, an attentive wait-staff, the hottest Vindaloo around (! love it), and the best martinis ever! I think Tandoori Nights has fabulous food, and the decor gives you a feeling of fun no matter what.

Not your average Indian restaurant. Absolutely GORGOUS decor. Really nice food - not too spicy. Great service. Nice drink selection. I am American and my husband is from India. I love Indian food and this is one of my favorite places to dine. It's also wonderful to eat outside in the spring and summer.

I ordered for some friends visiting from out of town and was not impressed.. .seemed they used a lot of large pieces of inexpensive vegetables to fill the space. Not a satisfying meal.

Love this place! We just recently moved to Maryland and were having a hard time finding a good Indian restaurant. We went to Tandoori Nights on a Friday evening - a brief wait, with comfy chairs and a bar. The host was fantastic, wait staff was great, food exceptional! Recommend the vegetable samosas as a starter and the smoothies are wonderful as well. Nice starters for a fantastic overall dining experience. Great ambiance as well, and has outdoor seating during the summer.
