Even better view than the Empire State

The best view you can get of Central Park and the Empire State. It is more comfortable than the visit to the Empire State. Try to get to the top before sunset si you get a daylight and night view.

Absolutely Fabulous!!

Skip the Empire State Building and go here!!! We went to the Empire State Building and waited in lines for hours for the same view as this. Not only did we not have to wait in line at the "Top of the Rock", it was a lot of fun. They had this awesome elevator that they take you up in and it has a see through ceiling that you can see yourself going up. The view is even better than any other in New York City. Definately worth the money! They are very organized here at the "Rock" and it made the visit fabulous.

this was an amazing view. got a lot of really nice pictures! and the elevator ride up was really cool too! totally recommend it for its price!

Skip the Empire State Building!!

The Top of the Rock is immensely better than the Empire State Building! We bought the tickets just for the heck of it (at the building) and had no waiting even though it as in the afternoon. The facility is well-maintained and the views can�t be beat! I can not say enough good things about this attraction. The only negative is that there is nothing at the top to show you what you are looking at unless you buy a map ($2).

Romance

The night I was asked will you marry me? and presented with an engagement ring happened at the Top of the Rock, after saying I will, he had a reservation for dinner at the Rainbow Room, the most romantic night of my life, the strolling minstrels played a love song requested by my new fiancee. Oh! what a night to remember. Think about that guys, what a way to propose to your special some one.

A hidden gem

This place just started allowing tourists up there in 2005. It is amazing breathtaking. I've gone to the top of the Empire State Building but this place has it beat. It has glass paneling around the whole thing so you don't feel like your in a jail like at the Empire State Building. PLUS all your pictures come out really good without the fencing. One good way to go about it: Buy your tickets online in advance (hint hint, no waiting). While we were coming into the building we met Bill Haden from SNL. Two for one! What's not to love!?

Great Views

Expected to have to wait in line, but it wasn't that crowded. Went on a Monday night at sunset. Great views all around. Recommend watching the history videos before going up. It was extremely cold and windy at the top - dress prepared. Would have been nice to have some more benches to sit, but they probably don't want you to stay too long. A "must do" while in New York.

It will stay open this time trust me

It was really great, you get to feel what it was like building it on a fake bar. Than you go on a super fast elavoter that tells about Rockfeller and the building. The top have five wonderful decks both inside and out, and there is no way to look stright down. You have a 360 view. nothing to get in your way. Best of all you feel like you are face to face with the Empire state building I would give a go!!

MOST AMAZING VIEW OF CENTRAL PARK

OMG this was the most amazing view of Central Park and NYC!!!! the elevator ride alone was worth it!!! It was kind of pricey, but we had a military discount so instead of the 18 dollar price, ours was 10, so it was SO worth it!!!! Even better than the empire state building, and Chrystler building, I totally will tell everyone I know that is going to NYC to make this a destination stop, AMAZING, really nothing else to say but AMAZING VIEWS!!!

Better than the Empire State!

Most tourists will go to the Empire State but they're wrong! They should go to the Top of the Rock. It offers a great view. You can take a pic with the empire state in the background. The whole building was very classy with clear glass unlike the Empire State. The best thing was the elevator! It has lights and it goes directly to the top unlike the Empire State, you have to take like 3 elevators! Go to the Top of the Rock is way better than the Empire State.
