Houston's Restaurant, Rockville

Great restaurant. I had heard over the past couple of years that they were having issues with the landlord and perhaps would not renew. They lasted longer than they originally expected to. Good news though, Woodmont Grill in Bethesda, Houstons Chain is out there. By the way, they serve Tortillia soup twice weekly. Some dishes are new and may have removed something but their food is consistent and wonderful as usual. Also they will accomodate take-out. Try them out, you will not be disappointed.

Houstons in Rockville is a landmark of perfect service, the best prime rib and a role model for every other restaurant. We can only hope that Houstons in Rockville is only changing their name, any other explanation for this place leaving the always crowded location seems like a bad dream. After many years of perfect meals, service and martinis, there is no place more guarenteed to have a perfect evening! Houston's Rockville Do Not Leave us!

I was just at Houston's tonight and I heard that Houston's will be closed by Christmas. It is one of my favorite restaurants, I have been going there since I was a kid, my parents used to go on dates here and now it will be closed forever. If you have driven by Houston's on Rockville Pike but have never dined there, then go NOW! If you are a Houston's regular like me, then get in line, because I will be eating Spinach Dip, Barbecue Ribs, Loaded Baked Potatos, and Ice Cream Sundaes until the day they close. In short, Houston's is fantastic, the food, the service, and the atmosphere are all great, and this Rockville Landmark will be missed.

I heard and read such a great reviews from Houston's in Rockville, i decided to try it myself , my first impression, limited menu, way too overpriced, i decided to try the special of the day,the New York strip, with the bake potato, I requested medium well and the steak was dry, burned and no seasoning.What a dissapointment, i felt like i have been ripped off, the dish was a 38 dollar steak, that had no taste at all, not even the steak sauce helped.I could have complain to the manager, but i was to upset to do so, It was a horrible experience and to top it off the waiter wasn't articulate enough to specify the cost. I ended up with a high bill and a high disappointment. This restaurant definately lost my business.

We all know about Houston's! I love the place...the food,ambiance,service the whole 9! They have a nice bar too.

This is where you take your baby and enjoy a nice dinner with a big plate of food...lol I love the atmosphere at Houstons! Been going to this restaurant for about 8 years and I get the same thing each time. I usuallly have to wait about 20 mins but it's worth it every minute.

2nd to Sweetwater Tavern in VA! Can get very noisy, service on the upper level by the windows seems slow (all the time). Slightly above average prices, but worth it. Always a wait....

Great food and great service. Would recommend the Knife and Fork Ribs. They are the most tender and fall-off-the-bone ribs you will ever have.

Went here this past Wednesday. Very nice place to take someone on a romantic date. Food was excellent (must get the filet, pricey but worth it), embiance even better, service about average. I would definitly go again.
