a great club for the 30 and over crowd to let loose on a friday or a saturday night until 3 in the morning. in all my years of going i have yet to see a fight. plenty of ladies, plenty of parking, good food, and good drinks. now friday and saturday are the only days i recommend. people come from all over the area to get down on those nights.
My girlfriends and I went to the club this saturday night. We had a ball the music was the bomb and the atmosphere was normal. Any place is only what you make it. We made it work for us and had a wonderful time.
Martini's use to be ok. Went there Saturday night to celebrate my B-day it was after midnight...was told I should have gotten there during the oldie but goodie time (7-12). It was terrible. It was $15 to get in that hell hole, I paid with credit card the guy took my card outside somewhere to process it.... we purchased 2 drinks (Long Island Ice Tee) I ask young lady how much she said $26 that was crazy!!! No class at all in this club...the young ladies looked terrible half dressed and the guys looked like they were at a meat factory....unbelievable. I hope and pray that when my daughter who is college age goes out that she carries herself like lady. I RATED IT WITH 1 STAR BECAUSE I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE!!!!! oh almost forgot that bathroom is horrible...
My girlfriends and I made a point to go to Martini's at least once a month for Girls night (after we had so much fun the first time). After this past Friday, i think those days are over. We always had a good time, but now notice that the music is completely repiticious. I could pretty much predict the line up. And the DJ does NOT accept requests. the atmosphere is great, but the music blows. Now the DJ on the smaller side of the club, did play a better variety, however i'm not sure it was enough to make me go back.
The music is great. The club has an odor, they need to replace the carpet and remodel the ladies restroom. They need to invest in the club, so they can attract a certain clientele. It would be nice people in PG and Charles Cty could have a nice upscale lounge in MD, so they wouldn't have to travel to DC. I would like to keep my money in the community. However Martini's is going down. Again either replace the carpet or shampoo it.
I went to Martini's 2wks ago on a Saturday with my girlfriends..I think it was a Kappa Convention that weekend in the DC Area...It was CRANKIN!!!..DJ Madman was OFF THA HOOK! I stayed on the dance floor the entire time.
I have visited Martinis on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nite and enjoyed every occassion. However, I must say I love Saturday nites w/DJ Madman. If you use to go to Ibex, then you already know what Madman can do.
