I paid $25 for my dinner and it was enough for a child the drinks where to high for The size they serve you we had to keep looking for the waiter.i spent $110 on me and my wife and it was not worth even $50.but i wanted to see how it was because we go to alot Of different restaurant. And never been to jaspers but i will not be going back.
WILL NEVER GO AGAIN!
Where do I start?? Food took forever to come out and when it did they were missing the food for the children. How hard was it to make grilled cheese sandwich...SMH. We were asking other waiters for stuff because our waiter was M.I.A. And to top everything off, there was two fights that broke out. Where am I?? OMG.
I dined at Jaspers Largo for the first time on the Fourth of July and was very unhappy with my meal. The host was not welcoming or friendly. The decor was like stepping back into a bad 80's set. Its dark and mildewy/damp smelling like an old paneled basement. My sister and I both inquired about the Pork Chops to the waiter who had no idea what came with them. After he checked with the chef we decided to order them. Big Mistake. They came with a few onion straws, some cold applesause, and worst of all... a mountain of old mashed potatoes that tasted like they were soaked in vinegar or something. The porkchops were tough and greasy with the breading falling off. It was just nasty. My sister choked down some of the pork chops, but I could not eat that greasy, vinegar tangy mess. When the waiter finally came back I told him that the meal was no good. He said he would see what the manager could do and fortunately they did comp my meal. But, the manager never came out to say anything about it. Maybe the vibe is a better just as a happy hour/ meet & mingle, as some of the other reviewers have said. I wouldn't know because I went on a Saturday evening so I can not comment on that. But if you enjoy an updated decor, a fresh smelling restaurant, or good food, I wouldn't go to Jasper's in Largo.
Great crowd and scene make up for shaky service...: If you are the type of person who doesn't mind so-so service and moderately expensive food and drinks, then you'd like this place. It's a big place and has plenty of seats. They have a few TVs if you like to watch the game(s). The big selling point here is the food. The menu is huge. They have everything from Lobster Bisque to Chicken Tenders. Also, the crowd is fun. Most people come here after work and during happy hour, which offers some drink specials. I truly enjoy the place because of the quantity and quality of women =)
I truly enjoy Jaspers. I've only been there three times in the past year, but each time I can safely say the food was decent, and the atmosphere is comfortable. You can think of it as a mixture of a retro diner and a club...so good food....jumping environment.
Jasper's Restaurant, located at 9640 Lottsford Road, Largo, MD., remains the best dining experience I've had over the past ten years. Jasper's is conveniently located off (MD 202/ Landover Road - and Lottsford Road, Largo, Maryland). To some, this area might be called Landover, Mitchellville, or maybe even Bowie, MD; if you find that this is happening to you, chances are, you are in the right neighborhood.
I've had the opportunity to dine at every local restaurant on a consistent basis, as many as 4 times a week, and Jaspers remains consistent in every area relative to fine dining - and eating out; it remains the place to go!
Generally, you can expect great customer service; something I personally can appreciate, and don't mind rewarding. As a marketing executive, I'm big on customer service, and how best to facilitate it. Second, you can expect excellent ambiance' and a smoke-free environment; Jasper's has successfully addressed this issue, tailoring a dining condition conducive to the needs of their patrons across the board; I can honestly say I am a non-smoker; but, smoker, or non-smoker, the point is...everyone's satisfied. Third, you can expect an extensive menu selection; you must try Jasper's Mediterranean Pasta dish, and to that, add a Chicken Caesar Salad: a tall, cold glass of Ice Tea does well to wash it all down.
Whatever you order, without question, I am confident you'll enjoy your menu selection and your total overall dining experience, and whenever you're in the area, returning will undoubtedly be on your mind.
Jasper's continues to deliver quality, taste, and just an overall excellent experience hands down, and second to none. It's Jaspers in AUGUST!
I was recently in Jasper's and my dining experience was HORRIBLE!!! They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Please don't even bother asking for a manager because they are ignorant and argumentative. They are poorly staffed for a dinner crowd. The food was cold and the drinks from the kitchen are watered down. Do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere
I like Jaspers because the food is good to me, and everytime I have been there the service has been in good time and everything that i've asked for. The restaurant is very comfortable and is in a nice setting. There is a good variety of food, and drinks. The restaurant is a nice size and they decorated and filled the space nicely.
