I took my niece to get sushi carryout so she could try it at home. We walked in to place our order and wait for our food. While placing my order I requested extra sauce and offered to pay for it in advance. When my carryout arrived I checked the order to be sure that my extra sauce was in there and sure enough it was not. I asked for the sauce I had ordered extra and I was told it would be an additional $8.00 for a total of 3 oz of extra spicy mayo. That is rediculous. They proceeded to argue with me. I want to also mention how creepy the staff is while we were waiting. They stand and stare at you like you are gonna rob the place. So strange.

Ok, I have to be honest, the food is great! However, I went in and chose to take out from the sushi buffet (they will charge you per pound). The owner basically followed me around to make sure that I didn't take an extra container that was not needed or anything. I went out to ask my friend if he wanted anything (before I even picked up any food items) and he followed me out the store! Honestly, if the food weren't so good and reasonably priced, I would never go back. Its not nice to stalk your customers while they are in the lunch buffet. I read an comment about the attitude of the staff before I went to the restaurant and knew what I was getting into so eater beware!

I went to Asahi for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I am used to going to the sushi bars in Towson which I find very yummy. When I went to Asahi for the first time I thought it was ok! I figured where I lived Towson was a little far, so I decided to give it another go. I absolutely loved it. I got the Maryland roll which i wasnt to excited with. In towson they use real crab meat. Then I went for the third time and i got the 007 and Aka Tuna... FANTASTIC!!! Since then I go every week and get the same thing... I am hooked!!! There is one lady with short dark hair that works there and she is so enthuastic about her job.. She lets me try things I would never dream of trying and gets very involved with her tables. Since I have been going they have given my party and I miso soup on the house! I would definitely continue going back!

I am writing this review to share my experience at the restaurant. My friend and I went to this restaurant because of lunch buffet. The food was good. However, a waitress came over to our table at the end of the meal and began to scold about the food that was left on our plates. She was extremely rude by pointing her finger at our table and saying “there shouldn’t be any leftover food.” During this encounter she was confrontational. She also went to the next table and began to complaint the customers next to us about how we left food on our plates. I was very embarrassed since I invited my friend to a cozy lunch. To make matter worse, we complained to the management who in turn took the waitress side. Then, when we went to pay, we voiced our concern about the rudeness of the waitress. To my surprise the lady cashier told us to get out even though we hadn’t paid the bill, so we left the restaurant. An off duty policeman who was inside the restaurant came out and wanted to talk to us. To end the story we paid the bill, but they have lost a good customer. I do not recommend this restaurant, but you need to judge for yourself. Remember to clean your plate.

went there last night for the first time and it was the worst food I ever had. My mom and I thought we were going to be sick for the rest of the night. It was very dirty looking and should be shut down.

This should be check by the health department. I was just there yesterday and the buffet wasn't worth it go to a restaurant where the food is freshly cook. I ask the waitress how fresh the sushi were bec. they look stale to me and she said it was just made 10 mins. ago. Obviously she lied to me because I can taste fresh sushi to stale ones. Raw fish sitting on the counter for a long time is dangerous to eat. The food was garbage go somewhere else and get your money's worth. Don't risk getting sick over not so cheap food. Definitely will call the department of health on this one.
