Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Half Moon Bay

We had a staff celebration and yearly meeting at the HMB BrewCo last week. We had a 4 course plated meal for our team and their guests. The meal was perfect. The dining experience at the BrewCo is outstanding. The service - before, during, and after the event - was really great. Cynthia is a fabulous organizer, and Mark is an amazing chef. Wayne was super in helping pull it all together. We had a budget, and it was tight. They helped us put together a meal that was not only great, but met our very tight budget. And, did I mention the room was beautiful? Our staff are still raving about the party.

Well apparently they are remodeling and have a limited menu, which they warned us about before we got a table. But they didn't tell us that they were serving with plastic silverware, and styrofoam plates. Our table was right in front on some door that couldn't be closed and it was freezing! As if that wasn't enough, they didn't even ask me how I wanted my hamburger cooked or offer the supposed choice between french fries or coleslaw (they assumed french fries) and then they brought me a ketchup bottle with less than 1/2 inch of ketchup at the bottom. My friend's $19.00 dinner special was cold when it came and they forgot to put the rice that it came with on the "plate." I brought it to the attention of the waiter and he brought a rather soupy, uncooked styrofoam bowl of rice. The candle on our table was out and even after I brought it to the attention of the waiter stil wasn't lit. Terrible food, terrible service! The fire pits outside would be nice for a beer but that is about it!
