Sherwood Golf Club
Sherwood Golf Club a 1968 Lloyd Clifton-designed course was once known as Bent Oak Country Club. It benefits from an odd assortment of coastal trees that provide interesting scenery. The entire course is narrow and tightly packed. Golfers will find an occasional elevated green, an abundance of sand and some water. The par-5s are short whereas the par-3s are between 155 and 165 yards in length. The closing hole is the only long par-4. This is a semi-private golf course. Soft spikes only.
When you think of intregrity and service, Sherwood Golf Club should come to mind. There you will find, Mr.Andy Ali, who lives and runs his business by the bond of his word. He has taken and old establishment to new heights believing reputation alone will build a firm foundation under it and bring back it's luster by offering low prices and quality service.
Sherwood Golf Club is located in northern Titusville, displaying a little bit of country with an understated elegance giving it a winning edge when choosing a banquet hall for your event.
From golfing 18 holes to hosting weddings, Sherwood has all the amendities necessary to assure your satisfaction.
Sherwood Golf Club was the choice of venue for our wedding event that met our guest with soaring beamed ceilings and glassed walls that looked out over the balcony to the golfing greens below. The landscaping was filled with roses and Italian cypress, with green patinaed lamp post that lined the tiered brick stairs. Simply lovely, and I being also the photographer was in heaven,
And the best part is, our guests were treated with the most professionally accommondating friendly staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you Sherwood Golf Club.
The newly repainted club house, newly landscaped, parking lot coated. Irrigation back online, New tee box markers. There is grass again (wow) what a change new owners can bring to a golf course. And yes all new golf carts and memberships as low as $500 for a single. A great deal for our community.
I went to this course to try something different. I didn't expect much for $19 including cart but I had seen some write ups calling it the most improved course in the area......Improved cow pasture that is!
The club house also served as a pseudo casino with slot machines taking up most of the pro shop. We saw several groups of 6 and 7 people playing together so we had to skip a few holes rather than wait forever for them to finish. The tee boxes and fairways were a combination of 30% dirt, 50% weeds, and 20% grass. There were no markers to indicate what hole you were on or where the next hole was. There was no water on the course but a beverage cart did make the rounds. The greens were the only thing decent at this place.
Overall, don't stop here unless you are just learning to play or really want to test your skills on a rough course.
