We're a major corporation who's business travel arrangements change on a dime. We missed the cancellation policy by 45 mins and they would not refund the amount. they had plenty of time to give that room to another guest and they still had availability online. they tried to compare to airline reservations fortunately for us, we are able to purchase fully refundable tickets because that meets are needs. Sad to say we will never be able to use this hotel and write a review based on an actual stay.. definitely not a hotel for business needs.
My Fiance and I stayed New Years Eve at this hotel and it was very nice. The have a roman package that included breakfast, champagne and roses. The bed was so comfortable and the room had 'luxury' written all over it. Not to mention the downtown DC nightime atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.
This hotel up until this week was the place i would stay on my frequent trips to DC. Butt no more for me i arrived on monday and within two hours i realized this room had a bug problem i notified front desk who immediately put me in a room on another floor i slept there tuesday night and tolerated the uneasiness or the paranoia of bugs still jumping on me but by morning i knew i had to get out of there.the food from the room service was ok but when you are supposed to sleep in a place and spend a good portion of the night scratching then the food quality is the least of your worries ...prime location prime property not surprised the bed bugs spend their summers at the ST Gregory
The hotel is in a nice a safe location close to the metro and a walk to georgetown and dupont circle. its very well maintained, clean, everyone was nice and took pride in the jobs he or she did. large room, 2 tvs, big bathroom, mini fridge, coffee in the room, free washington post paper, room card needed to operate elevator, more safe. overall it was a great place and i will stay again. Didnt care to much for the M restraunt, went to Cosi down the street, good food there. Negatives were the mini bar, REALLY expensive, there are dozens of cvs stores real close, one is 24 hours, do yourself a favor and grab some snacks and drinks there, not alot of tv channels either. the games and webtv and movies are really expensive. parking was valet 26 for the week and i think it was 20 for the weekend, but its not much cheaper anywhere else and i felt more safe with it there.
the lights were out. there was no hea,no hot water for a shower.the phones didn't work. the clock didn't couldn't even watch tv. or make coffee. there were bed bugs in the mattress. i wouldn't stay here again.
