Maggiano's - Italian Catering & Restaurant, Washington

Hostess was awful, we were told it was a 45 minute wait, but to check back in a 30 minutes. we did and was told it would be a few more minutes, that turned into another 40!! We waited an hour and 10 minutes. There were empty dirty tables all over the place, it was very frustrating, we never would have waited if we were told the truth. Food was good, family sized portions, but we were not told that. They have a complete dinner special, but even though it didn't say it on the menu, the server said it was only available if the whole table ordered it. Would not recommend it.

If you want quantity over quality...this is the place to come. And be prepared to communicate in a language other than English or Italian. After several visits, I cannot recommend this place. The kitchen is inconsistent and absolutely never order a pasta dish. Chronically overcooked and tasteless. I don't understand how a place like this can remain in business except for the glitzy entrance and decorative seduction.

I went to Maggiano's for the first time on yesterday evening and I simply enjoyed the food, service, and the atmosphere. It was truly too much food to consume for five people. All of the food was delicious. We had tons of leftovers to take home.

This is by far my favorite retaurant! I love everything about it! The food is fantastic. The service is great and the portions are ENORMOUS! I just wish we had one in the Baltimore, MD area.

If italian is what you are craving, Maggianos is sure not to disappoint. Do yourself a favor get a group of people together and grab a bite of Italy. The food will not disappoint, the portions are tremendous and the quality of food is exquisite. They create pasta dishes that melt in your mouth. Oh yeah, and the drinks are well also, you know I love a place that has good food and has a great bar. Maggianos can accomodate any sized crowd, they have specials for parties that includes a one price fee for each member of your party. Your party can chose between four refillable appetizers, entrees and desserts that you and your guests can share. It is a great place to eat and share. Make your way to Chevy Chase, right away!

Man, I didn't know what to expect when I went in but i left out absolutely loving this place. The food is great, the people are great, and the atmosphere is great. If you're in DC, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

not wirth the $$

Last Aug 27th we had our wedding reception upstairs in Tysons Maggiano's. Every step of the way they exceeded our expectations. They were open to our ideas to make the room and reception personal to "us" and they treated all our guests like it was their special day. 2 Examples: One waiter took it upon himself to make a "to-go" package for an out of town guest whose husband was rushed to the hospital before the ceramony started. She stopped by the reception to wish us luck and left with heaping amounts of yummy food (probably the reason for his speedy recovery). Another example: One of the servers overheard a guest comment on how she could eat a plate of just the onion strings that adorned her favorite dish... within minutes he presented her table with an overflowing plate of them. and believe it or not... Maggiano's was on the LESS expensive range of prices as far as reception places went! Bravo Maggiano's!

WOW...THE FOOD IS RICH N TASTY! BE READY TO EAT WHEN YOU GO THERE! YOU CAN GET FAMILY STYLE SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD! IF YOU LOVE ITALIAN, YOU WILL LOVE MAGGIANO'S!

The food here is excellent. The only things that turned me off are the high prices-it is DC- and the snooty ambience. If you just go with some extra cash and a grain of salt, you'll love the authentic Italian cooking.
