Thai Tanic, Washington

Here food is really delicious and has big portion, also the price is pretty cheap, I strongly recommend this restaurant.

I started going to Thai Tanic years ago when it first opened and it was incredible. I have gone regularly since until recently there was a Thai restaurant week and I suggested to some colleagues we go there for lunch. I was very disappointed and sorry I invited them. The food was not even average and the service was ok but nothing great, either. I have been going to Pasara Thai on Connecticut Ave for a while now and they are what Thai Tanic used to be. Try Pasara - you will not be disappointed. As fro Thai Tanic - I hope I just caught them on a bad day.

We're in DC on vacation and tried Thai Tanic b/c it's near the hotel and we love thai food and this place did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and the service was super quick (even though the place was hopping) and the food was awesome! I would definitely recommend Thai Tanic! Go Here!

I've been here a handful of times. I always get the beef panang. I was just here the other day, and it was really bad. The beef was way overcooked, the service was poor, and even the thai iced tea was warm. This place is a hit-and-miss.

I had the panang curry with chicken. The chicken was very overcooked (it came very fast, so might have been in the pot awhile), and the curry was pretty good, though it lacked subtlety. The medium is relatively mild, at least compared to authentic Thai. The staff is friendly, the service is good, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice (the neighborhood/block it's on is a little dicey looking, and seemed fine). Overall an average dining experience for the 1 time I've been there.

By far the best Thai food I've found in DC. I've only ever ordered delivery from this place, but the food always arrives hot and pretty much on time.

Go. Trust me....just go.

At first the name seems cheesy, but this is a really cool place. I'm not one to care for spicy foods, more or less bland when it comes to food flavorings. But I have discovered many dishes here I can stomach without burning up. Above all else, though, their Kanom Jeep is scrumdiddyumptious! The staff is always, always pleasant and attentive, and the prices fair.

This is a very good example of Thai food for American palates. There is a very large selection on the menu for pretty much any need. There's nothing too extreme served here; their spicy will make you sweat but it's not authentic. The majority of Americans probably wouldn't go if it was too authentic. The restaraunt is well decorated and clean. The staff is attentive and professional. I come here from time-to-time to get very good, decent food at a reasonable price.
