Prices were too high I paid $30 dollars for a small amount of rice and regular chicken breast, it did not come with salad or anything. All the nice tables were downstairs people got special treatment downstairs. they took us to a old looking room with red curtains and it had approximately 20 miniature tables our plates did not fit in the table the server had to take our drinks away because of the space. Horrible Horrible experience. I saw approximately 8 couples that simply left when entering the room the place was suppose to be romantic since it was valentines day and the upper level had no windows no decoration it was just a room with 4 dirty white walls and some ugly looking curtains in the ceiling. I do not recommend this place at all..
WE ATE HERE FOR VALENTINE'S DINNER. THE AMBIENCE WAS LOVELY, WITH INCREDIBLE INDIAN FUSION MUSIC THAT WAS NOT TOO HEAVY ON THE GROOVE. Veggie options were plentiful, with fish and crab for those veg-heads that don't mind bottom feeders. The drinks were okay; I was not impressed with the single glass selection of champagne. However, I can't wait to try a bottle, there wine list is VERY intriguing. I would not recommend the pear-Campagne cocktail, it is not up to par. Entrees were very moderately priced, I can seriously recommend the Morocan beef and the grilled tofu dish, WOW! A must-get is the banana hummus h'ors doeuvre; pleanty for 3 or 4 to eat. Over all, a great experience. Great wait staff! Oh, and do not pass up on getting the Budha Delite; this is a chocolate pot that you would not believe!
So sorry, but I just came back from D.C. and after having a night out at Mie N Yu, I am disappointed. Yes the decor is nice, and the music is good, but the food was just ok. Sat at the bar for a while and I ordered a cranberry and vodka, I got a water and vodka, when I asked for it to be corrected, it took more than 15 minutes to get a weak drink. Perhaps Im a spoiled Nyer, having been to some of the best places in the country that anything with a 4-5 star rating has to be better than great....
My friend and I went here for dinner and paid 100.00. Our waiter was really good. The food tasted great. But about 15-20 minutes after we got our bill the host came over and asked us if we would like to move to the bar area because some people were waiting and wanted our table. I thought it was pretty rude. We just dropped 100.00 and they kicked us out of our table. I could see if we just got apps and were there for hours. But we had a full course meal. I was really disappointed.
when you ask for a place that will change your mind about life, love, and also fun, this is it, I mean everything is eye candy for you soul, leave everything and everywhere you have ever eaten at before at the door, this is a sure fire way to fall back in love with eating out, and hold up Co-Ed bathrooms!!!! Nice sleek and swank, this is a must visit place. This place has fabulous music, great appetizers, and great desert. The only downfall is the entres which lack taste.
And when I went there it was actually my aunts X-mass party; lets just say the Tibetan Lounge looks more like a bedroom than a place to eat.
