Conveniently located in the heart of historic Georgetown, we have been a local and international favorite since 1984. Serving some of the best Italian fares in a very comfortable atmosphere. Our moderately priced menu offers a variety of veal, seafood, and pasta and served by knowledgeable, courteous staff. Paper Moon is able to take private parties of up to 250. Please contact the restaurant for inquiries on private parties.
Get out your organ grinders and train your monkey cause if you're looking for a decor consisting of nothing but Italian stereotypes, you have to include this stable, dependable Georgetown joint on your list. The food is quite fresh and attention to detail is paid pretty consistently. My most fav dish is the insalata di pesce fresco. A delicious salad with fresh tossed grilled calamari. Better accompanied by a nice glass of wine of course. Come early on a warm spring day and snag a sidewalk table for some good food and people watching extraordinaire. even though is not located right off M street. If you're a night owl. once the dinner rush is over (11ish), they bring a dj out and let the crowd dance away all those carbs. Evening sightings include fashion divas excourted by bronzed muscle boys from their own private limos. tzt tz la vita e' bella.
My husband and I are native New Yorkers who moved to northern VA in July and we were so excited to go wander in Georgetown and finding Paper Moon just added to our experience - Brunch was fabulous, not only the standard brunch food but food that we will go back for dinner to eat Its not an overwhelming selection which is perfect, the ambiance lends itself to a more selective buffet menu - we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.
My wife, child, and I went to the Paper Moon as the fall back. The place looked fine but the food was subpar and the hostest was very nasty. the food was okaynothing to write home about. If Filomenia is over pack make this your 4 choice to go to. Not worth it.
We did not have to wait long to be served. They seem to be doing something right because each time I have always come here there is a good crowd here. Our server was so nice and gave really good recommendations.
I ve always walked by this place, the antique decor and the European style outdoors seating made me to finally decide to try it out. Me and my coworker were happy that we got seated outside immediately with NO reservation on a Friday evening, Thanks to the nice staff and the weather that was cooperating! The waitress was friendly and professional; within seconds we were greeted and offered iced cold water, introducing herself with a nice smile. We ordered out drinks and appetizers. The undecided me took me a while to decide what to order for the entrees, the waitress was very kind to suggest couple of things, one that i ordered and was so delightful.
I bought a groupon months ago, and finally went to brunch this afternoon. Everything was lovely! The drinks were great, the food was tasty, the staff was very nice, and that area of Georgetown is so fun to explore! I definitely recommend going for brunch. The restaurant is gorgeous inside and I have absolutely nothing negative to report about my experience. It s even good for people watching!
I am relatively new to DC and a friend in town suggested we go there this past week for dinner. I went with a group of 6 and we had a great time. The staff was very good at their job and amusing to boot. The best thing I liked was when one of us suggested we order an entree that the server did not feel was a good value, he let us know. We ended up getting a platter with everything you can imagine on it for a more then good price. The wine list had a very good variety of options at reasonable prices. Most of the list was under the 50 dollar mark. Overall the food was very good and the portions were huge. We enjoyed ourselves and I feel I have found a restaurant worth returning to in DC which isn t as easy as I thought it would be.
