We enjoyed our dinner, and would go back. We decided to try it for lunch, and I sure am glad. The shrimp salad on a croissant is to die for.

Over Rated Always busy & very loud. The food is average at best. The fish portions are small & overcooked. they pile the plate up high w/ alot of french fries to make it appear like huge portions. we have gone several times with the same results. To their credit thay have a loyal following, A mystery to us. There are much better restaurants in the area with better prepared food and better atmosphere & service

Big Fish Grill Restaurant is great for a large party
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/09
Big Fish is a family favorite after a long hot day on the beach. We usually come with a fairly large crowd and are easily accomodated. The wait time for a table is made more relaxing by having a drink at the bar. I've never had a bad meal yet.Seafood is good and so is the pasta and salad. Friendly wait staff is a plus.

Excellent food, fair pricing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
If you are in Rehoboth Beach, definitely eat at the Big Fish Grill. The dishes are consistently prepared and the portions are generous. There is not one thing on the menu I would not recommend. If you love dessert, I'd recommend the peanut butter pie or bread pudding - the best I've ever had!Want to cook yourself? The Big Fish Market, located next door, sells fresh seafood and all the restaurant's spices to prepare your own dinner.

After a few word of mouth recommendations, we headed to Big Fish. The menu looks great with tons of fresh fish to choose from. Unfortunately, the taste didn't quite match expectations. My wife got the caramelized salmon. It tasted good but was a bit dry. I had the lobster bisque which was very good. But then I had the yellowfin tuna. The tuna itself was prepared well and tasted good. Unfortunately it was served over mashed potatoes. Now, the potatoes were pretty good. But rare tuna and mashed potatoes just don't mix together, at all. Ever. I guess I should have realized this on the menu. But the chef really should already know this. If my wife's dish was cooked right then I would have given this 4 stars. But they botched two meals, one by overcooking, and one with poor taste. The place has potential. It really needs a better head chef with better ideas and quality control.

Lobster Starter is Yummy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/21/08
They have great food here. They now have an outside seating area which is nice during the summer months. This place always has wonderful food and their service is good. They do have a line during season and you might have to wait.

I've given BFG several tries over the years and each time - I keep wondering why I give them a second or third chance. They over cook the fish to the point where its dry. There's nothing like taking a perfectly good fish and ruining it by over cooking it. BFG needs a lesson on how to cook fish. If you drink lots of wine/beer - sure you can eat the fish there because you're probably so drunk you can't taste what you're eating. Fins on Rehoboth Ave is a much better place for seafood. BFG is busy and noisy. The waits are long and its not worth the headache for poorly cooked fish.

Gets better and better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/08
I swear this place gets better (and bigger) everytime I go here. They have now included outdoor seating which is really nice. The lobster starter was wonderful.
