Always busy & very loud. The food is average at best.
The fish portions are small & overcooked. they pile the plate up high w/ alot of french fries to make it appear like huge portions. we have gone several times with the same results. To their credit thay have a loyal following,
A mystery to us. There are much better restaurants in the area with better prepared food and better atmosphere & service
After a few word of mouth recommendations, we headed to Big Fish. The menu looks great with tons of fresh fish to choose from. Unfortunately, the taste didn't quite match expectations. My wife got the caramelized salmon. It tasted good but was a bit dry. I had the lobster bisque which was very good. But then I had the yellowfin tuna. The tuna itself was prepared well and tasted good. Unfortunately it was served over mashed potatoes. Now, the potatoes were pretty good. But rare tuna and mashed potatoes just don't mix together, at all. Ever. I guess I should have realized this on the menu. But the chef really should already know this. If my wife's dish was cooked right then I would have given this 4 stars. But they botched two meals, one by overcooking, and one with poor taste. The place has potential. It really needs a better head chef with better ideas and quality control.
I've given BFG several tries over the years and each time - I keep wondering why I give them a second or third chance.
They over cook the fish to the point where its dry. There's nothing like taking a perfectly good fish and ruining it by over cooking it. BFG needs a lesson on how to cook fish.
If you drink lots of wine/beer - sure you can eat the fish there because you're probably so drunk you can't taste what you're eating.
Fins on Rehoboth Ave is a much better place for seafood.
BFG is busy and noisy. The waits are long and its not worth the headache for poorly cooked fish.
Loved the friendly people! Enjoyed the menu. It had such a broad variaty everyone and anyone could find something they liked!Just loved it! One thing you need to remember is come early or late so you don't have to wait.
We had dinner at big fish (party of four)
the wait wasn't too long but it was not worth
it.The waitress wasn't very nice and the food wasn't that great. I guess we should try again because it seems very popular,
but frankly there are much better restaurants in Rehoboth to dine at.
B.F.G. is my favorite restaurant. You get great food for an afordable price . So many thing to choice from. Great for family's! kids...and adults can write on the table with crayons. So much fun. I go 2x a week, always! Never had anything I didn't like! Trey the halibut, jumbalaya, any soup, bruscetta and more!!!!!
