Located in Chinatown, this is the restaurant to visit if you are interested in sampling a variety of Asian cuisines. Casual and friendly, this second-floor restaurant has a number of small rooms decorated with Asian art. Expect a wonderful array of dishes influenced by Chinese, Thai and Indian cuisines. The curries are rich and varied. The Mango Pork is a house specialty, and the ginger and papaya salads are worth a special mention. Both are fresh and flavorful.

4 reviews for Burma Restaurant

I can't believe that after I raved about this restaurant after my two previous dining experience that I could have had such an embarassing dinner there. The service was slow and took an hour to get utensils, an extra plate and a drink from our rude server who did not hesitate to tell us that we were his only table at around 9:30PM and we needed to leave while the owner had asked us to stay as long we wanted. The waiter not only told us to leave but made a gesture for us to leave. No doubt we complained to the owner about this disgraceful waiter and my friends and I will never return.

Delicious and inexpensive
By Matthew Carter, 12/31/05
My family of 5 went to Burma Restaurant on 12/30/2005 just prior to a basketball game at the MCI Center around the corner. This restaurant doesn't waste money on frills like fancy interior decorations or a large entranceway. We placed our orders, and our food arrived very quickly. We ordered golden fingers (fried squash) and golden eggplants as appetizers. Both delicious, but the eggplant was my favorite. The Papaya salad was very tasty. Similar to the popular Thai version, but not as spicy, and had a few extra ingredients like tomatoes and cucumbers. For entrees, we had Chicken Kokang, Burmese Pork, and Noodles with ground shrimp. All 3 of those were delicious. My favorite was the Pork. 3 generous entrees, 2 appetizers, and 1 salad was enough for the 5 of us. We'll definitely return to Burma Restaurant. The prices were very reasonable (~$10-12 per entree).
