Overall a very good restaurant. We tried the tzatziki, kasar, Kolokithokeftedes, Ímam Bayıldı, Soujok Spetzofi, Kotopoulo Youvetsi. Everything was presented well and, more important, was very tasty. Also, being from the area, Greek, I can say that it was authentic. The only, personal, disappointment was the pita bread they brought at the beginning of the meal. It was very light and airy and I am used to the more dense pita. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. And the overall bill was reasonable for a meal for a group of three (no drinks).

Fabulous and fun for a not so serious lunch meeting. Everything was my favorite, brussel sprouts, lamb kabob, sea scallop, yum. Don't skip dessert, try both chocolate dishes and see which one you like best. They are so different that again I couldn't pick.

I pride myself on deep appreciation for a harmonious symphony of flavors... but nothing prepared me for the Zaytinya experience. Every dish - including dessert - was amazing... Best restaurant meal I've ever had (and I've eaten all over the world).

A must visit if you are in the District. The food, decor, ambiance and service is amazing! We just happened to walk past it during restaurant week and stopped in for lunch. It was our favorite meal of the trip. There wasn't a single part of the experience that wasn't superb. If your new to the cuisine, like we are, don't worry. The wait staff was very friendly and informative.

Fabulous food at a fairly reasonable price. Recently went with my father and brother on an awesome trip to the best city around, D.C.!! Highly recommend this restaurant. Never had a dry water glass or empty bread basket. Fantastic desserts and amazing and creative plates! Truely unique!

I heard some good things about this place before staying in DC for a few days at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel. I tried it out on a Monday nigth and found the plac to be busing as if it were a weekend where I come from! I took a seat at the bar and got quick, friendly service. I got three dishes and a drink on this visit: the sarkopite, spiced beef sirloin and the aryan as my drink, I wrapped the meal up with the chocolate visine. All the dishes were amazing! I have never eaten authentic greek/turkish foods like this before. The dishes are smaller plate foods so you can sample more foods and not feel stuffed afterwrods. Prices are not bad either, ranging for 6-10 bucks per dish. I can say now I am a fan of this ethnic cusine and this restaurant. If I come back to DC anytimne soon this will be a must dinner stop!

One of our very favorite restaurants in all of DC. Creative turkish and greek tapas style food with great service (especially when sitting at the bar - nice job, guys!). This is one of those places where everything is so delicious and different that you eat until it hurts. If there is an ingredient in a dish that you normally don't like - order it anyway as it may taste completely unique. The down side is slight as all the dishes are small - take a chance and surprise yourself. You will love Zaytinya. One warning - very crowded during peak times with a unique reservation policy that lets around half the tables go to patrons willing to wait for a table.

My husband and I went late, after a show, for dessert and drinks at the bar. The space is dominated by clean, shiny modern lines with a deep Mediterranean blue in the bar area. The crowd was mixed, families and young professionals, quite attractive but not pretentious. Really, everyone was lovely (especially the nice young man who tracked me through the crowd to return my fallen scarf). The place was very busy and rather packed, but our bartender was stellar - friendly and more than competent with the nice drinks. The desserts were small but very rich and tasty. We can't wait to go back and try the main courses!
