Temptations, Wilmington

Disappointed! Such a lovely place .. but when the 'marshmallow topping' on my scoop of ice cream was a handful of extremely stale mini- marshmallows --- nononono.

My fiance and I stopped by this weekend per a friends recommendation. My fiance is usually not much for sandwich shops but we loved everything from soup to dessert! We'll be back!

Tempations is now bringing in Jewish style Deli and advertising as NY style. Since I was born and raised in the NY metro area, I pretty much have tried it all... pretty spoiled I must say. They just brought in pastrami and corned beef sandwhiches and matzoh ball soup to their menu. I was sort of disappointed that the matzoh ball soup was served with a bay leaf, instead of the real authentic jewish dill and parsley flavor. I thought the soup lacked any real flavor. Pretty much seemed like basic chicken soup with a matzoh ball thrown in. The corned beef and pastrami standwhich was ok, Not juicy enough as I am used too. I think if you are from the DE area you will may find these new additions satisfying since there is not a lot of competition. If you are used to the real NY style it really doesn't compare. Best of Luck though.

My kids want to get ice cream from Temptations everytime we are in Trolley Square.
