Well, we researched seafood restaurants in the Dover area and this one was the one we decided on....and we are glad we did! We have had dinner at other places in Dover in the past and we were not completely satisfied. The Cool Springs Restaurant certainly did not leave us unsatisfied! My husband and I both had the seafood bisque, stuffed rockfish, and chocolate white chocolate chesecake and we went for the heaven and hell cake also.....All of it was fantastic! Our waitress Jocelyn was great and we had a wonderful anniversary dinner. We intend to visit again when we return to the area. We highly recommend the restaurant on all points!
The sea food was excellent, best Maryland Crab I've ever eaten and the seafood bisque was to die for. The service and atmosphere very good, although my husband didn't like the table we sat at.
GREAT restaurant! Appeals to all palates...Especially the seafood lover! Be sure to save room for their desserts! Get the dessert "to-go" if you don't have room. Excellent Food!
I have had the pleasure of dining at Cool Springs several times since they opened their doors.
I have NEVER been disappointed with either the FOOD or the SERVICE. In my opinion,
they easily compete with the many high end restaurants at the beach, without the outrageous
prices or the long drive (particularly in the summer). I ALWAYS take out of town visitors here
and they are amazed that Dover has a restaurant of this caliber. I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY!
Cool Springs is by far my favorite restaurant to dine at in Kent County!! The service is by far the best, and the food is amazing!! They have the freshest fish delivered daily and the best oyster on the half shell I have ever had!!
Whether you are dining with 2 or a group the service is always excellent, the food even better and the ambience is not your typical seafood fare around here where you hit your food with a mallet. This place is class personified and the wait staff and culinary experts are all very professional and courteous and offer nothing but the finest. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be. This is by far my favorite restaurant around.
I really like Cool Springs, however, they charge you a rediculous amount of money for how much they give you. The food itself is good but don't go there if your expecting to be full when you leave.
Last time we went, I had a tuna steak with wasabi sauce and he had horseradish encrusted New York strip steak. They were both to die for. The place doesn't look like much from outside, but the food is absolutely delicious...
