Bangkok House Restaurant, Wilmington

My wife and I have been here about five times now, and have always had a good, if slow, meal. I've always thought that this type of meal is not fast food anyway, so that doesn't bother me. I have no gripes about anything I've had here, but we still like the Lemongrass in University City, Phila, better. Their service is faster, the food is comparable or better, and it's cheaper. If you don't want to drive 40 minutes for Thai, this place IS worth the wait, but if you want excellent Thai with the other benefits listed above, take the drive.

Very good food! I've been many times to Thailand and I could say it is so close! It is true that you have to wait a bit, but that makes me think the the food is fresh, no micro-wave.. no? And the waitress (Goon) is very friendly. A place to go!

Food was great, everything else ruined it... Better off at Saigon in the newark shopping center. Snippy waitress, yucky bathrooms and a creepy chey that kept coming out and staring at us... Just all wrong

I agree with Beth from Newark regarding the wait...it's never speedy service, but that is part of the charm. The quality of the food, however, makes the wait more than worthwhile. I have found the serving sizes to be quite healthy and the waitress has always been happy to bring extra rice or sauce if we asked. The duck with basil sauce is out of this world!

We waited two hours to get our dishes, which, by the way, were wonderful! It's too bad. By the time the arrived we were famished. Unfortunately, the portions were skimpy and for the price we paid per dish, the wait wouldn't have mattered so much if they had just thrown an extra scoop of rice on our plates. I would not return unless there was more bang for the buck and a bit more timely service.

Very good thai food. Not a fancy restaurant but that is what we like about it. We can go there without breaking our bank account. The best food I have had so far.
